I grew up in South Milwaukee, WI, population 20,988 and I still reside in the community and see many positive changes in the city. I see it becoming more culturally diverse, also an economical boost with business growth, as well as numerous city sponsored activities throughout the year bringing the town together. Once a town easily overlooked, now has a bright future; a pleasant place to visit, shop, start a business and of course reside. There are plenty of economic incentives for small business owners.
It is a very safe place to live and most residents are very warm, welcoming and willing to help neighbors, creating excellent neighborhoods and friendly relationships. There is a strong, positive sense of community. Diversification of culture and faith is a welcome aspect and asset to the community.
I am excited to see the town in which I grew up making real changes for the community and improving quality of life in my good old midwestern hometown, South Milwaukee.
