South Jordan is a great place to live! Centrally located in the Salt Lake Valley, it is easy to take advantage of the many attractions nearby! Such attractions include; Movie theaters, restaurants, parks with scenic trails, a lake, a golf course, and the beautiful Oquirrh Mountain Temple with adjoining Park all just minutes away, you're sure to find fun and beauty whenever you're itching to get out! The neighborhood is full of friendly people who are always looking to help eachother. The schools are close by, so you don't have to worry about your children's safety, as they travel to and from home. South Jordan is the perfect place for anyone looking for a place to raise a family in a safe environment, with plenty to do, and with friendly people!
I actually really like South Jordan. The best thing you will find immediately is the aesthetics. It is full of trees, the infrastructure is top of the drawer (though that often means constant construction) and there are many places to enjoy outside. You'll realize that it's very family friendly, and of course since it's one of the wealthier cities in Utah, living here isn't cheap. As the rest of UT, this city is very religious, and it will be seen by the amount of church buildings and temples. The culture is not very diverse, I must say, but if you're looking for outdoors-y and a family friendly environment, this is a place to consider. The mountains and hills make it beautiful as well, as sunset is just gorgeous over the summer. You will experience 4 seasons in a day as rain comes out of no where and we never know when it will snow despite weather forecasting. This is South Jordan and much of Utah in a nutshell.
We just moved to this area but I have worked in South Jordan for years and love this city! It's beautiful, quiet, great people and affordable as well. Absolutely love living here! I would highly recommend South Jordan to those who might be interested in moving here.
