It's a hard working latino community, has invested in beautification of the community as of late. Its obvious that the local city representitives are trying to hold the community up to higher than average local standards.

I wish the educational system taught more relevant subjects and educated its students in financial literacy to send graduates off with a better opportunity of achieving success.

There are many people in this city that are caring, humble and don't show hate so long if you don't give them that negativity. However, there are some of the newer adults that arise and cause trouble and commit actions that are simply unnecessary. There are also moments of rather small amounts of burnouts, speeding and of course the use of fireworks. What saddens me the most is the least care in law enforcement. Don't get me wrong, there are some police officers that do their job and are very well understanding, but there will always be bad officers that have complete neglect over their job.
I love South Gate, grew up here! Wish rent wasn’t expensive though I feel like rent has gone up a lot the last few years. My favorite thing is the community here, everybody is good to each other and it’s near by lots of business but not in the middle of the big city.
