Soquel is a fairly good town. It is usually quiet and fairly safe. There are many good shops and restaurants to choose from. Overall pretty good.
Nice neighbors, friendly. The streets are relatively quiet at night, no major crimes. It feels safe.
It is a very friendly and 'local' place. It is easy to navigate, and the there is a large variety of stores and restaraunts. Near the Beach too!
Soquel is a cute little town just outside of Santa Cruz and everyone is so welcoming and open minded. Our whole neighborhood looks out for each other and are super friendly!
I think it is a good small town that has its own school system but needs more in the "village area" of the town. There luckily is Capitola and Santa Cruz nearby that make up for the lack of things to do.
We recently had some car fires set, but besides that, crime is pretty low.
For the most part, people here smile at you when you walk by, regardless of your color. Beaches are cleaner than in other areas of county. Nearby forests are filled with miles of trails. Most places are dog friendly. We're near retail stores. Crime is pretty low. The future has nearby libraries being expanded, funding for schools continuing, local parks being opened. It's great to live here.
