Somers is a great, family-oriented, and friendly place to live. Everything you’d need is not very far at all. I feel very safe and happy day to day here, and overall I am glad to reside here!

The community is friendly, and the academic chances are amazing, but the community is not always safe. I have heard of multiple murders in the past although nothing recent. It is a mostly white population, and there is no nightlife population since it is a family town. It is no longer a small town, now at about 21,000+ people living here, but you will see familiar faces everywhere. There is somewhat of a drug problem, even in the middle school.
Somers is the nice place to live if you want to live in quiet and around trees. There are many trees and I have never suffered from the noise at night. Since Somers is not a city, you really need a car to go anywhere.
