My experience with Solvang has always been amazing every time I visit. There is never a day that I see Solvang as a ghost town since there is tourist visiting everyday. Solvang is one of a kind town and place in California since it's a Denmark based/inspired town. The buildings has so much character, there is nothing like Solvang you will expect to see in California or the United States. The buildings and culture of Solvang is even expressed in the food and entertainment. Overall, Solvang is a great town to visit if you want to check out and get the feeling of Denmark.

I love that it is a small "Mom and Pop" feel town where everyone knows everyone and stops to engage in conversation with each other. I work at a local coffee shop here and it is the biggest joy to engage with our local customers. There is a big sense of loyalty in this small town of ours and with that brings lots of community and care. I have never been apart of a more generous and caring community than I have living in Solvang. I used to live in a bigger city and I am so thankful to have moved here for the end of my childhood experience.
I have lived in Solvang all my life and I would not change too much about this town. This is a small town just shy of a population of six thousand people so everyone knows one another quite well. Solvang is also known as the Danish capital of the United States bringing in thousands of tourists each year. During the day, shops and restaurants all following through with Danish inspiration are the main attractions of Solvang. There are a few museums, parks, and landmarks around town that tourists will enjoy along with the Danish architecture that fully submerges visitors into feeling as if one is in Denmark. The nightlife is literally lit up by the thousands of lights all through the town illuminating the streets on ones nightly strolls. Overall, one is truly privileged to live in a town where everyone knows one another and feels like family.
