We love living in the Socastee area in Myrtle Beach, SC. We bought our home over a year ago and we’ve loved it. Our home backs up to a creek that leads to the waterway. It is very peaceful and quiet in our cul-de-sac and we have great neighbors. We are very happy with our location choice!

There are elementary and high school within minutes of anyone in the area. College and a university are an easy and quick commute time. Traffic compared to large cities would be said "what traffic?"
Stores are close, pharmacies and small family run businesses, restaurants and fast food. Basically you don't have to leave the area as even a hospital is close by. I am talking everything you need or want can be obtained by a ten minute drive.
Affordable compared to Myrtle Beach with a Myrtle Beach zip code. A good place to start out the beach life. Oh yes!, a 10 minute drive at the most and you can be sitting on the beach. Several minutes away from fishing the Intracoastal Waterway or Waccamaw River. Catch your food and cook it at the landing or a short time to get home. All the amenities of a major tourist attractions and local admissions at many. If you love the beach start here.
I like the stores that are locally owned and the convenience of everything accessible in about 15 minutes. My neighborhood is very family friendly for my Children to grow up in.
