The City of Snohomish offers many adventures to discover. Its beautiful historic homes, antique shopping, farms, one-of-a-kind boutiques bring many memories of yesteryear. Family outings to the soccer dome, Centennial Trail, swim center, library, Snohomish River, Blackman's Lake, Pilchuck River and farmers market bring many memories for lasting years. Unfortunately, with growth comes more population, more traffic, more pedestrians which can bring city life feel hustle and bustle to a small farming community, which can take away chances of true community experience. This review is based on 25 years of Snohomish lifestyle!
I grew up visiting my grandmother in Snohomish my entire childhood. I always loved coming to see her but also loved that she lived right in town so we would walk up to the store or the park. In 7th grade my family moved to Snohomish and I started school in a different town. I loved my time in the Snohomish School District and am so happy to see my son starting his own schooling here too. The small town vibe is lovely and a walk on First Street is always a great way to spend your time. There are so many shops, restaurants and a lovely trail to walk along the river. The only thing I would want to change is the same in so many other towns, the continuing problem with addiction and the crimes committed that go with it.
Our town has a real community feel. As the town grows, the racial make up of the area is becoming more diverse. Community members are making a concerted effort to be accepting and inclusive of all members of the community and I like that.
The community is also very supportive of our local schools and student bodies. Our Education Foundation affords students many opportunities to grow and experience success through their commitment and investment in schools.
