I have lived in Smithfield most of my life. I love the small town feel. Downtown has great shops and a movie theater! Easily accessible with Hwy 70 and I-95 only minutes alway from you. We have a great number of big name restaurants, stores and hotels for anyone’s preference.

Smithfield, North Carolina brings the small towns around together. Selma Kenly, Micro, and Four Oaks come together in Smithfield because of it's access of markets and lowkey environment. Meeting people here leads to meeting friends of friends easily.
I have lived in Smithfield, North Carolina my entire life. It is a great town, but I would definitely prefer living deeper in the country. Every year I enjoy the Christmas parade in downtown Smithfield. In 2018, a club at my school called Fellowship of Christian Athletes made a float and I was able to ride in it during the parade. It was a wonderful experience and I was excited to be a part of the parade, since it was my senior year. My favorite thing about Smithfield is every year in the month of May they have a Ham and Yam festival. I have gone to this festival since I was a little kid and I enjoy everything about it, mostly the ham biscuits of course. People from all over the community comes to have a wonderful time with family and friends and that is what I love about it. I would say that Smithfield is a wonderful town, but I'm definitely ready to explore more of what North Carolina has to offer.
