I like that it is a small town. It is home to the best bakery ever known as the Slaton Bakery. I would like to see a change in redoing some of the roads and remodeling the town.
Slaton is a small town, with little to none to do. But with great friends and family you will be fine.
Adorable little town on the outside of Lubbock with a very well known bakery. This town is also home to some great churches.
I dont see much crime or anything around my house, but whenever we had a problem a few years ago, the police were very helpful.
I moved here with my parents in 2006 and it ahs been a pretty good place to grow up, however now that i am in college, i do not see myself living here ever again. I just dont like it here as much as I like the envirionment in other places.
In the community there are few jobs available, many of the people who live here have to go find jobs in other towns nearby.
The stores in the community have a very welcome home aura to them they make you feel comfortable.
Generally a safe town, but there certainly is crime in the area
With Lubbock nearby, there are jobs within reach. Locally there are a decent number of jobs, but most are minimum wage or seasonal farming
There are few businesses in the area but they are still very helpful.
