Skillman is a cute little town bordering Princeton and Hillsborough, it's a part of Montgomery Township. It is in close proximity to grocery stores, a movie theater, a Starbucks, a ton of parks, and several other places to meet up with friends and hangout. Skillman New Jersey is a safe town with police patrolling all throughout the day, it's the type of town where everyone knows each other and you constantly see people walking about. I moved to Skillman when I was in 7th grade and I've enjoyed my time here. Even though I often complain about the lack of things to do in Skillman, there is always something you can find to do whether that is catching a movie, eating a sandwich at Jersey Mike's, or going for a WaWa run with your friends. I wouldn't ask for a better place to grow up!
Skillman is a very nice place to live. Lots of scenic trails, great food, historical structures, and only a few minutes by car to downtown princeton!
As a teen, there isn't much to do, especially if you can't drive; there's no bowling, arcade, or activity to get to easily/within Skillman. It is also extremely expensive to live here. However, the neighbors are wonderful and kind. It's a safe place and many people have adorable furry friends. I would say the community is knit well together; there are small parties or gatherings every once in a while. Montgomery School District is a great school to get an education in because it is rigorous. Most of the teachers are supportive and helpful when learning the material. Like all schools, some of the students there are rude, but there are plenty of good genuine people. The Montgomery district prides itself on its diversity. Because of all the people living here, there are plenty of shops and always places to start a business. The malls, restaurants, and shops are almost always hiring. Since there are also a lot of kids, baby sitting, tutoring, pet sitting are successful as well.
