It is a safe and friendly environment to raise your children, the people are friendly and helpful. I would recommend that if your looking for a place to raise your kids away from the big city this is the place to live.
It is a good community that I think has lots of potential. Multicultural, beautiful landscape and lakes around, and a community that wants to thrive, just has to get past a few issues.
I was born and raised in Sisseton. I enjoy the small town life. The residents of Sisseton are friendly and willing to help anyone in need. Some things that I would like to see change is more businesses in Sisseton. Due to only having one grocery store, one clothing store ect things can be very expensive compared to bigger cities. Closest Walmart is 45 min away!!
