I have really enjoyed living in Sioux Falls. They have an amazing selection of restaurants, and entertainment. I've really enjoyed going to Tokyo, Huhot, and Subway! My absolute favorite is Tasteas because they serve bubble tea with boba. It reminds me of my exchange trip to Japan! As for the entertainment, they've got gaming, public pools, and annual fairs. Sioux Falls is probably the best place to try anything and everything; even if we have wacky weather.

I like Sioux Falls because it is my home town. I have lived here since I was a year and a half. There are quite a few things to do in Sioux Falls, though some do cost money. The city is becoming bigger and more diverse. If you have children, there are many fun things for you to do with them! There are parks, nature parks (for hiking), fun restaurants, swimming pools, a butterfly house, and many more! It is family-friendly and there are schools all over the city so depending on where you live, there should be a school district you are close to. Some things I would like to see change is the crime rate. I never saw this city as a city full of crime but within the last year, I feel way more has been happening. It is NOT safe to go to Walmart or anywhere by yourself now. I recommend bringing someone else with you. I would like to see less crime happening, but that is something I cannot change personally.
I live near Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Sioux Falls is a small town by most standards, but growing and thriving. Not perfect, but we strive to be inclusive, progressive and forward thinking. Sioux Falls has top rated health systems, nationally recognized financial services and the largest multipurpose venue between Denver and Minneapolis.
None of these have come without visionary leaders and lawmakers. Current mayor Paul TenHaken is a great example. He has done an exemplary job of speaking to city employees as well as keeping in touch with the youngest members of the city with the help of his daughter. As a mom, I found their recent COVID-19 briefings cute and relatable, in spite of the heavy subject matter. To me this embodies everything I love about our region. Family friendly yet somehow modern.
Another recent praise is that the more negativity and fighting in the world, the more we reach out and look out for ways to help. I am honored to be one of these helpers. Thank you.
