Silver City is a cute Southwestern city full of quirky art, an interesting historic down-town, and lots of near-by outdoor activities. If you have trouble deciding what to do first, stop by the Visitor’s Center where the helpful staff can give you information on practically everything from eating recommendations to activities for every attention span and fitness level. The weather is always great- so it’s never hard to get outside and do something. There are a myriad of shopping options: three grocery stores (not including walmart) and all are very good. There are also several small art stores and restaurants for every palate.

I’d love to see more culture and cleaner streets. There’s a bit to be desired as far as that goes. The views can’t be beat though. Beautiful mountains and hiking. Close to wilderness adventures for sure!
Growing up in the small hometown of Silver City, you learn a few things. Here in Silver as a highschool student, you learn how to make the most of a town that does not offer much to the youth. There are not many things to do here for the common teenager, but we always make due. We fill that gap with family get togethers, a few town fiestas, and the company of one another in this close family of a town. If you like a quiet, elderly-based town, then this is the place for you!
