Nearby freeways, safe and quiet neighborhoods. Between downtown and uptown Long Beach. The beach is less than 3 miles away. Good shoppes and restaurants in the area. Plus there’s a Costco!
I’ve lived here for all my life and I have never really disliked my neighborhood. There are places to go and sights to see but in all honesty to grow up and still live here is still very relaxing and fun. Having a couple of parks around the place and the schools are very close. It is a perfect place to live with all the sights you can see from the hill and learn about some history with the historic statue.
It's a good city. It is relatively safe and the nicest neighborhood I have lived in thus far. There are many parks and trails which I love.
I lived in Signal Hill ever since I was born. I attended Alvarado Elementary School which is one of California's Distinguished Schools. Signal Hill has no crime rate. The police are even bored since there is no crime to stop just charging tickets. Nightlife is fun when there are events Signal Hill plans such as the Concerts in the Park in the Summer. There are so many people working out at Signal Hill. Having areas to work out, bike and hiking trails and parks for the kids. Signal Hill is very Family Friendly because of the planned events are done with families such as Holiday Celebrations and Arts and Crafts. Though I have to say affording a house in Signal Hill is very expensive, making many houses in Signal Hill opened for Real Estate and Average Diversity.
I enjoy its safety and its commute time. Everything is very close and the city is very well maintained. I would like to see more parks.
Signal Hill is such a nice city to live in! There are many stores near one another for convince, great parks to visit, friendly neighbors, and an amazing night view on the hill.
I have lived in Signal Hill for about 6 years now. It is very much apart of Long Beach so not much changes when you drive by Signal Hill. I work at one of the schools in the Signal Hill area, I believe it is a good school with a really tight knit community. The streets of Signal Hill are also pretty littered with trash and unfinished construction jobs. It would be nice if we had cleaner streets and lots.
I have lived in Signal Hill all of my life and love it here. My neighbors are really friendly and Signal Hill is beautiful. It is a great place to go running, because of all the hills. During the Fourth of July the fireworks were really beautiful to see from the hills.
I love signal hill it is very peaceful and great community. Beautiful views at the top of the hill. Great place to grow up and raise a family.
Its nice, I like the city a lot, has good women, lots of good food, places to go and do things, nice weather, gym is close by, basketball is close by, bars and pugs are close by, parks are nice and close by.
There is a large minority population who can be referred to as the working poor. Many of the minorities end up in the service and health care industry, and they typically dirk very hard for just enough, and in some cases barely enough to get by and support their families. However, community activism is high, and there is a large emphasis on creating a living wage for done of these unfortunates.
Long Beach is an extremely diverse community, with a wide range of special interest shops, an abundance of local retailets where you might find anything from vintage clothing, vinyl, and furniture to handcrafted goods. It really add to the overall ambience of the downtown community and art district.
