I lived in Signal Hill ever since I was born. I attended Alvarado Elementary School which is one of California's Distinguished Schools. Signal Hill has no crime rate. The police are even bored since there is no crime to stop just charging tickets. Nightlife is fun when there are events Signal Hill plans such as the Concerts in the Park in the Summer. There are so many people working out at Signal Hill. Having areas to work out, bike and hiking trails and parks for the kids. Signal Hill is very Family Friendly because of the planned events are done with families such as Holiday Celebrations and Arts and Crafts. Though I have to say affording a house in Signal Hill is very expensive, making many houses in Signal Hill opened for Real Estate and Average Diversity.

Signal Hill is such a nice city to live in! There are many stores near one another for convince, great parks to visit, friendly neighbors, and an amazing night view on the hill.
I have lived in this community for most of my young adulthood. My grandmother pays a mortgage on a town home in a quiet gated community. I have lived here back and forth for the past 5 years as she welcomes me to stay rent-free as a full time college student. Signal hill is located in central Long Beach. It's surrounded by LBUSD and has one of the better community colleges of California. Commuting is never an issue because the freeway is nearby. The police patrol the area frequently. The real estate market depending on what side of the hill you're on, can be pricey, but not much of a huge comparison to surrounding cities. This is a family oriented community. This area is for working professionals who commute and/or want to be away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles to a more calm environment when they come back home. The only issues I have seen my block go through are water issues, the city has to constantly shut off the water to fix it.
