Shrewsbury is pretty well-known as it was rated as the 2nd or 3rd best suburb for families in the entire US. That is a pretty apt description in my opinion. It is a very safe, family friendly town with strong public schools. As the town itself is heavily focused on families, it is lacking in some other regions, like entertainment and nightlife or with job opportunities. However, since Shrewsbury is only about an hour away from Boston, it is not particularly a sore point for people living here. Recently, Shrewsbury has been growing; there are now a large variety of shopping centers around the area as well as entertainment facilities. Shrewsbury is on the more expensive side though.

Shrewsbury has everything! It is very nice and clean, but the diversity here isn't that much. The education system is well, restaurants are amazing, and an easy drive to everything.
Shrewsbury is a fantastic community to raise a family. The public school system is excellent, and crime is exceptionally low (especially when one takes into consideration population). With many parks & recreational areas & a gorgeous village green, Shrewsbury is the epitome of New England Charm. Average household income is high while property taxes remain some of the lowest in the state, and with a median home price of under 400k it is a more affordable option for the greater Boston area! Close to transit & Interstates 495, 290, & 90 Shrewsbury is centrally located to much of massachusetts & new englands entertainment & tourist attractions. A wonderful place to live & raise a family in safety & comfort.
