Short Pump is friendly and a beautiful area to live in. It’s a peaceful and safe town to start a family and make friends. There are great quality schools from elementary to high schools. In addition, Short Pump is a lively community filled with a mixture of enjoyable activities, distinguished restaurants, and well-known stores. Most, if not all, neighborhoods are very family-friendly and have extremely low crime rates. If I had to name one flaw of the town it would be the lack of diversity; its, not the best place for meeting a variety of people and witnessing different aspects of life. However, Richmond City is only about a 20-minute drive from Short Pump, and the city is a growing area with an abundance of diversity. Overall, I enjoy living in Short Pump and there is never a dull moment.

Short Pump is an upscale area with quality public schools. It is increasing its pedestrian friendliness and access to public transportation, but is still lacking in this department. There are great parks, public libraries, and family friendly events in the area. An assortment of national chains and locally-owned restaurants and stores are nearby. Short Pump Town Center is regional shopping destination. Short Pump is convenient to three major highways-- rt 288, rt 295, and I-64.
Overall, I've had a pretty great experience in this neighborhood. I've lived in the Richmond area for almost my whole life, and while I just recently moved into this neighborhood, it was very easy to adjust and feel comfortable. The atmosphere is positive and the neighborhood is peaceful. I wouldn't consider the area to be incredibly special (a standard suburb community), but there are definitely things for everyone to find joy in. I am very happy to have settled in this home and if I could do it over again, the only thing I would do is move in earlier!
