Short Hills Reviews

The schools with over prepare you for college but at the expense of your mental health. The downtown area shuts down at 9pm and most of the new stores close after 6 months. This town is dying.
This is an amazing town no doubt. I am personally the best at academics thanks to this town. good schooling.
Short Hills is undeniably a nice place to live. The Millburn public schools are the top public schools in the nation. But, the taxes are wild. And the diversity is quite poor. For example, there are only around 4 or 5 black students in my grade (which contains hundreds of students in total). The students in the publics schools, especially this middle school can be quite terrible-- the kids are spoiled, the teachers can be nasty. I survived though, I'd say it is worth it for a good education. But, depending on your income, the taxes can become unmanageable. I'd say only live here if you can afford to.
I loved the public school district and the amount of sports available to me. Town is very safe and there is always something to do.
it is really nice there. I like seeing all of the really nice houses. Also it is very green there. I want to visit again.
Great place to live. Convenient to NYC, large lots, big houses, very safe and the best schools in NJ. Only reason it doesn't rank higher on niche is because of their SJW "diversity" requirement. You can't have it both ways.
It is an incredibly boujee town with a corrupt leadership. My mother has had legal problems with the town before, and we can all attest there is shady stuff going on.
Great place to grow up and live. The high school, middle school, and elementary schools are superb. There are great private schools nearby.
I like feeling safe here. You can walk out in the middle of the night without any fear of being attacked or watched. I sometimes don't like the people that these million dollar homes attract. There are many snobs, especially at school. However, if you want a great high school education and a family-friendly place, this is a great place.
I wouldn't give up my life here for anything
We have the usual petty crime in town. Most crime is committed in the Short Hills from people outside our town. The police is very quick to respond.
We have the best public school system in all of New Jersey. All the families are very involved and very educated. Short Hills has the best of both worlds, suburbs in New Jersey but easy commute into New York City. The home value is one of the best investment in New Jersey and they hold their value.
Residents tend to stay a while ensuring their kids make it through high school. Always involved with community events, and also pet friendly where you can walk your dog in the park.
The crime and safety is high with police presence.
The schools are top rate, and the students will be well prepared for college. A great place to raise kids, and highly rated nationwide as a place to raise a family.
I think they are okay but they could be much better.
Very little crime, and quiet at night time. Never loud.
