An amazing location on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, and minutes away from downtown Minnesota, and the MSP airport. Miles of bike trails and cul-du-sacs full of cozy nano communities make this town a special corner of Minnesota to live in. Great schools, and the charming historic town of Excelsior in the center with great shops and restaurants.

Good location to schools. High property taxes. Could use better businesses to boost the tax base. The parks and recreation programs are great.

Shorewood has been an amazing place to grow up in. The people are always really friendly and welcoming and I’ve always feel very safe here.

I have lived in Shorewood for 22 years and I love it. It is a very friendly city. It is around a half hour to get to the cities. Shorewood is a beautiful city. It is becoming more developed. I grew up with most families in my neighborhood. Shorewood is definitely a family friendly city.

Part of it is on beautiful Lake Minnetonka. Very close to Excelsior with good restaurants, fun bars and interesting stores. A long walking/ biking path takes you through forested areas to the east and west. Close to the city but closer to the great outdoors. Lots of parks and lakeside areas to enjoy it, weather permitting!

Wonderful neighborhood to live in family friendly and the school district is great! Plenty of opportunities to explore local towns with lots of activities!

Love Patisserie, new Olive's Fresh Pizza bar

Excelsior has great shops, good restaurants (Lagos Tacos, Maynard's, Jake O'Connor's, Licks Ice Cream)

Local businesses tend to be family run, or have a small town feel. There is a large variety of local businesses that makes it easier to continue to shop there rather than large corporate businesses
