I like the people there and how everyone is connected in a certain way. It's a small town so everybody knows everyone. The scenery is also pretty nice, you can see mountains from all 4 states that surround New Mexico if you’re standing on a tall enough hill.

If you live in a rural four corners area, Shiprock is the closest for fast foods restaurants, flea market, Native traditional foods. There are several sites to visit like the Four Corners Monument, west of Shiprock, Ute Mountain Casino, north of Shiprock, Flowing water casino in Shiprock, The annual Shiprock Marathon in May, the Shiprock Fair in October, 30 minutes to Farmington, NM for more restaurants, hotels, other exciting events to attend. Shiprock is a friendly small town
My experience with Shiprock has totally been great so far. I have lived here all of my life, this place is where I consider my home. If I am ever far away from and return, it definitely brings me comfort. Only because it is my hometown, and it is the place that I call home. Just like how anyone would call the town or city they come from their home. As the saying goes, "There is no place like home".
I liked that Shiprock is a small community, so everyone knows everyone. Meaning everyone will look out for everyone, and I would say it is a averagely safe community to live in.
The change that I would like to see is a cleaner community, and shelters that are open to those needing a place to stay. Such as, animal shelters for all the homeless animals that wonder around, and for those that have no place to stay at night.
