The community of Shelby is very welcoming and friendly and offers a great small town feel. The town is very supportive of their school and sports teams and supports them like no other town I've ever seen.

I enjoy the small community feel, families are willing to help each other out. However sometimes it does feel too small and we have to go to the next big town to get groceries or what is needed.
There are several families that have made Shelby their home town. You will find families that have been here for five to fifty years. It is great how pet friendly people are as well.
