Sharpsburg Reviews

Sharpsburg is an historic rural village like no other in the State. Antietam National Battlefield, the Potomac River/C&O Canal, the Appalachian Trail and other recreational opportunities surround the town.
The schools prepared our children for entry to UMD College Park and James Madison in Virginia.
Crime is very rare and usually related to petty theft and minor infractions.
While shopping is very limited, three miles away are shops, great restaurants, groceries and gas stations across the Potomac in WV. Employment us typically found within larger cities nearby, but an ever growing group of commuters hop MARCRail to DC for the opportunity to have a career in that area.
Families are everything here. Children feel safe and are safe. Parents and neighbors are protective.
Best places to visit are the local bakery and an ice cream shop where long lines run down the block.

I love the town of Sharpsburg, it has a lot of history, and is populated by wonderful people that provide a tight knit community that feels more like a family.
There is very little crime in this area but when something happens the police are there but not always there in a timely matter due to the fact that there are a lot of people spread out throughout the town.
