My experience with Shamokin Pennsylvania has been very unordinary it is a very different town it is in the coal mine region it is a very small town in the middle of the mountains with a lot of Caucasian people who look down on African Americans and other races it is drug-infested and very poor like. What I like about Shamokin is that it is a small town so it is less traffic in less People the positive thing that I can say is that people are very family-oriented other than the people that are drug abusers what I would like to see change is more stores and more places for kids to go and have an opportunity to do positive things other than turn to drugs.
Lot of potential jobs and places to live but the people and general atmosphere isn't very comforting.
There's not a whole lot to do. Lots of sirens and there is a general overwhelming feeling of being a crab attempting to get out of the barrel but is being pulled back in. Lots of drugs, especially if you know where to look
