For a young adult who has recently completed his undergraduate degree, there is not much to say in support of Seymour. Though the cost of living is not nearly as high as that of Nashville or Memphis, job opportunities and an open community are almost nonexistent. The greatest advantage of living in Seymour is its proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains. Otherwise, it's a semi-industrial pastureland that finds itself stranded between the noisy, consumer atmosphere of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and the often obnoxious tourist atmosphere of Sevierville. As a vacation spot, people watchers and can delight in the rural festivities East Tennessee has to offer, albeit with Confederate vestiges.

Love it here! I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quite place to live. If you don't like cities and prefer the quite lift this is the place for you. Love the sights. The mountains are gorgeous
