Working in Seneca
Seneca is the largest community within Cranberry Township. It’s a good place to raise a family or to retire. It’s close to shopping and the local hospital, and it’s home to many professional offices, a park, and a good school district. Most houses aren’t TOO old (built in the 60s/70s), but you can occasionally find new homes being built, so there is potential for future development. The only complaint is that there are very few sidewalks and no bike lanes, so you actually need a car in order to travel anywhere in the community.
Seneca is very much a small town. It is very rural and is beautiful throughout the seasons. Although there is not much to do in town as far as shopping, They have a few mom and pop type farmers markets and local restaurants. They also have a beautiful park that is well maintained. Seneca also has seasonal festivals nearby such as Cranberry Festival and Applefest. Seneca is a small town where everyone knows everyone, and town members are very friendly and inviting.
Overall, this is a nice area to raise a family. Seneca is a quiet community with easy access to local healthcare, churches, shopping and local elementary and Jr/Sr highschool. There are local parks and fishing / picnic areas with access to local bike trails. A hotel was added to the community after the new hospital was built. I would live here again, if I could do it all over again.
