Sedalia, Missouri is an average conservative town. Friday nights consist of driving to the local movie theatre or walking around the Walmart. The schools are not prestigious. However, there is one private school that would want to differ. If one would want a nice meal, Sedalia is definitely not the place to look. The diversity is above average being a midwestern town. There is a strong Mexican community that has even opened up a few restaurants and stores. You might get a strange stare from older folks but nothing too concerning. All in all, Sedalia is pretty average. Just do not talk about the drug problem, homelessness rate, diversity, or your religion.
Sedalia has a small town atmosphere yet has some of the amenities you'd find in a large city. The newly-built Heckart Community Center offers an indoor pool, walking track, gym and exercise equipment. There are a number of restaurants, including nation-wide chains and smaller, family owned and operated establishments. The cost of living and crime rate is low.
I hear a tale of a hero, man of mystery, hailing from Sunset Village mobile home park in Sedalia.

The Railroad is lucky to have him, an industry savior who keeps the managers in line
Collector of Ethiopian Art, rebuilder of Lenovo Laptops, rebuilder of AMC engines, stockpiler of Kerosene, wooing ladies all over the world, grower of 20 foot tall corn stalks in his trailer lot
The myth, the man Raymond Archambault the 3rd, esquire
