A very friendly community to ride your bike on nice summer afternoons! Nice education (including the local JROTC program) with caring staff. Excellent choices in local businesses, a well taken care of downtown, and the community is very involved!

Through my experience at the elementary school I went to as a child, I constantly got sick as well as many other children, there weren't enough textbooks for us to use, and I had a lot of trouble learning things like multiplication. I went to a school in the lower income side of town, and the school itself had some issues. All the other public schools were in a lot better condition than the one I went to in both technology and supplies, but there have been some obvious changes since I was there. The changes are the only reason I give the public schools three stars.
Sedalia, MO is unlike any other place I've been before. It's not the biggest town I have lived in but not quite the smallest either. It has potential to be something better and brighter. There are plenty of historical sites like the Katy Trail. The Katy Trail extends throughout Missouri and is used for biking and running. Many others use it for a peaceful scenic walk. One of the few but popular places to eat at are Kehde's. It is absolutely delicious and family friendly oriented. Many people are first drawn in by the train sitting at the side of Kehde's. It is also a part of the restaurant itself. You get the feel of eating inside the train cart. It is by far my favorite experience so far in Sedalia. I would love to see the city expand and bring in more options for the people to enjoy. Such as shopping centers and restaurants. Most of Sedalia consists of fast food. Which is quick and convenient. But once in a while it is nice to sit down and enjoy a meal outside of your home.
