Secaucus is the perfect location for families, especially those with parents working in the New York City Metropolitan area. The town provides many events for kids as well as adults to emphasize the idea of community. Education here is exceptional with fun work opportunities for kids starting at the age of 15. This suburban is quiet and small with amazing views of the city skyline. Our own little island, as I like to call it because we are only connected to other towns through highways. Our mayor is nothing short of amazing providing so many town events such as the street fair, talent shows, firework celebrations, and more. Secaucus is the place for families to grow and thrive.
Ive lived in Secaucus all of my life, since I was a kid it has always had strong characteristics that always stay the same. Most of the residents are either commuters to the city or hard working blue collar workers, families are made up this way meaning most kids come from a tough family. The town itself is made up of a nice suburban area however going down south you start to notice it becomes a little sketchy. Drug abuse runs through the town sadly, but with our growing police force, you'll notice more cops around in their "ghost" cars.
Going through the public school district, I can say it's very mediocre. More below average teachers than there are good ones, but the good ones are very good. The location for the town is great if you want access to Northern New Jersey and the city, however there is nothing to do in the town. Restaurants, clubs, theaters, etc are all poorly run and uncleanly. Overall, Secaucus is okay, but there's better options around the area then there...

Secaucus is a beautiful place to live in. The people here can be very friendly. The plaza is a nice place to get what you need, and there are some nice supermarkets nearby as well. Almost everything is within walking distance, so a car isn't necessary to have (although it can be useful). The town is very welcoming and holds many recreational activities for people of all ages and their sports teams are incredible. The curriculum in the Secaucus public schools prepares students with outstanding teachers and opportunities. I could say that Secaucus is truly an amazing town to live in.
