I love the diversity, overall! It's a bit like family here once you get to know people. The climate is not too hot, not too cold (I recommend bringing a sweater once in a while). You get to see the beautiful Monterey Bay from any distance! When it comes to road safety, it is not too bad; just make sure to watch where you are walking and you should be fine. I strongly recommend visiting Baldemiros Taco Shop (try their burritos ;) ) and Harumi (try their ramen XD ) because you will be satisfied! Public schooling is just about average. Seaside is home to California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) which is a pretty good university to attend if you like the area and what it has to offer!

Overall, please come and visit Seaside, California! We would love to have you!

Thank you so much,

Seaside is a generally safe, naturally beautiful town overlooking Monterey Bay. The weather is mild year-round, and there are is no shortage of diverse commercial entities (you won't get stores and restaurants quite as specialized as in nearby San Jose, but certainly better than the national average). I frequently go on long walks through the town at night, and there is no fear for my safety (and plenty of streetlights). Rent is problematic, though, and it is a small enough town that, even with the presence of California State University Monterey Bay, dating can be challenging. Overall, I'd still say it's a decent town.
Friendly city, relatively cheap housing when living with roommates, and everything you need is close-by. Perfect for students. Seaside is perfect for Monterey Peninsula College Students. It is approximately 15 minutes away. With Marina and Monterey nearby, you have great shopping opportunities for whatever you need. Clothes, Groceries, you name it. The night-life is pretty much non-existent here, unless you throw a party. But it's nice and quiet here. Great for studying.
