Current Resident: I moved to Berwyn PA from abroad 3 years ago. I didn’t mean to stay much longer than that but the area draws you in . The school system is great, commute into Philly on the Septa is super convenient. Area feels safe and ha a great selection of local bars and restaurants. With I think the biggest shopping mall in the US 10 mins away and yet you are living in a leafy suburb and can go walking and running around the beautiful streets. Current Resident: I love Chesterbrook. It is such an awesome community! The schools are great and the people here are lovely and nice. There are so many opportunities here such as jobs. The communities are very diverse and I find it very family friendly. Thought the pricing here is a little expensive, it is definitely worth it! Chesterbrook schools include Conestoga High School, and TE Middle School, both are great public schools and ranked fairly high in the country. Current Resident: I've lived in Marshall Township since I was 7 months old. The residents are friendly. Over Easter during the coronovirus lockdown, local firefighters and police drove through all the neighborhoods in a parade of cars and trucks with the Easter Bunny waving and hitting their horns so that everyone could come to their front doors to watch and wave. My family was very touched by this as it brought the community together while we all had to stay apart. We have the onramps to both the turnpike and main highway just down the street. We are about 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh so easy to get to the city. Must have a good reputation as houses sell very quickly when put on the market. Current Resident: The best community for walkability, outstanding schools, culture, cute downtown, proximity to large center city, safety, community amenities, local history, Publix transportation and neighborliness. And for all that, it is relatively affordable. I can get to New York in less than 2 hours, DC in less than 3 hours and downtown Philly in less than 20 minutes by public transportation I walk to from my home or anywhere in Narberth.4th of July fireworks, Halloween parade and other Americana events. Current Resident: Upper Saint Clair is a great community. The schools are amazing filled with great teachers and resources. The tennis courts and gold course are walking distance from the high school, which has just been renovated. It is close to 1-79 and only 20 minutes from downtown with no traffic. There are tons of great cafes and food options in Upper Saint Clair. The people in this community work hard and smart. They strive to make each other better, which really forms a community. The mall is the best in the area and has tons of stores. During the pandemic neighbors would honk horns, wishing happy birthday to others. The community truly became stronger after the pandemic. Current Resident: Swarthmore is a delightful, safe town in which to raise a family. The schools are excellent, many of the homes historic, and it is just a quick ride to Media or to Philadelphia. Being near Swarthmore College and its beautiful campus is obviously a huge plus. Contrary to the report on this site, the folks who live in Swarthmore tend to lean very liberal. Current Resident: Nether Providence is a small town about 30 minutes away from Philadelphia. There aren't many huge attractions in Nether Providence, however, there are still many opportunities to have fun. Nether Providence may be small, but almost everyone knows everyone. You're bound to see at least one person from school where you're at, which personally isn't a bad thing. There are a lot of cute little shops, and attractions around here. There's at least one or two carnivals that happen every year in the summer, lots of fun bike rides, and it's overall a very fun and nice comfy atmosphere to live in. I live only a minute or so away from Fox Chapel Plaza and the Waterworks, so there is definitely lots to do right in the area. Both the school board and local municipal governments are turning over. Current Resident: I love that Aspinwall is such an inclusive community. There is so much to do, so many sights to see, and infinitely many amazing people to meet- all without leaving the perimeter of the town. Everyone knows each other, and changes are being made every day to grow Aspinwall into the best community it can possibly be. Some of my favorite things about Aspinwall is the local yoga studio I attend, being able to walk to my job, and both of the parks in the town. Everything is within walking distance, and there are various places for people to interact and become happier. Additionally, Aspinwall is very clean, and each citizen who lives here does their part to keep the town beautiful. All in all, I love it here, and I wouldn't trade my small town for the world.... Current Resident: Understand zip code and mailing address. 19382 serves an extremely large area around West Chester. The Pocopson post office (and therefore zip) does not deliver mail. Outstanding schools, but if you want more diversity for your child consider Kennett Square or West Chester. Absolutely beautiful, bucolic, and wide open. Current Resident: Chadds Ford is a lovely location and rich with history. You can visit the site of the Brandywine Battlefield where George Wahington and the Marquis de lafayette fought off the British in 1777. You can visit the Brandywine River Art Museum which celebrates local artists such as the Wyatts and of course you can step outside to the Brandywine Creek State Park to appreciate the beauty of nature which inspired their paintings. There are some quaint and well-established local wineries and even some wineries!
