Current Resident: My very first “home” was Grovetown. Over my lifetime, it grew just like I did. While the town now has many resources, stores & entertainment, I do miss the small town it once was. Growing up, everyone knew everyone. We never went to the grocery store without seeing someone we knew. It made the town feel close and connected. Former Resident: I have lived in the Belverdere Community from 1979-2004. When we first moved in there wasn't many children to play with. When other families moved in I was able to make friends. The community was quiet, and very safe. Growing up in the community everyone was very friendly. We all became a family. We shared the same school and we visited each other daily, we had great respect for each other. As a child we all grew up to adulthood together in the neighborhood. We had very little fights, the normal but within 5 minutes we were back playing together. After my mother past away it really wasn't the same living out there. We were all adults had moved on making a life for ourselves leaving out parents to live alone with grandchildren. but we visited frequently. Current Resident: I really enjoy Gloverville. Everybody is very nice and helpful. This community is very close. I feel very safe in my neighborhood. Gloverville is in a great location, one can get to local businesses quickly. It is a way to be close enough to the busy part of town without actually having to be in the busy part of town. There are many churches in this town and also in close surrounding towns. This is a small town that means everybody pretty much knows everybody. The schools in Gloverville are outstanding. Works Here: Waynesboro, GA is named the Bird Dog Capital of the USA. This small town is booming with business for townsfolk, passersby and the like. From the historic streets and buildings from the 1800s to the newer restaurants and community events there is always something to do and new things to be seen. Every person, stranger or familiar always seems to have a genuine smile and well wishes for everyone they encounter. The only changes I see that need to be made, as with most inhabited rural areas, are a small amount of run down houses just waiting to be renovated and expansion on their community garden. From such a small town you're bound to bump into someone you know and catch up on current events with friends and colleagues. It is a gracious, lush green and historically beautiful little slice of heaven located in it's equally beautiful state. Current Resident: I have lived in Hephzibah since I was a child and I love it for what it is, and I will be very sad to leave it once I leave for college, but Hephzibah has been a great home to me in my opinion. In Georgia, there are not many safe places to live, like in Atlanta where crime rates are ten times higher than in Hephzibah, where everything seems safe and I am able to walk around my neighbors without feeling apprehensive. People here make it even better. Everyone here is so nice and welcoming, we never have any issues with each other, and we are always willing to lend a hand when our neighbors are in need.
