Current Resident: The best community for walkability, outstanding schools, culture, cute downtown, proximity to large center city, safety, community amenities, local history, Publix transportation and neighborliness. And for all that, it is relatively affordable. I can get to New York in less than 2 hours, DC in less than 3 hours and downtown Philly in less than 20 minutes by public transportation I walk to from my home or anywhere in Narberth.4th of July fireworks, Halloween parade and other Americana events. Current Resident: Ardmore has been a wonderful place to be raised. There is so much to do in and around Ardmore. The neighborhoods are quiet, which is quite nice. The neighbors and friends you meet while living in Ardmore are the best! It is super close to Suburban Square, a shopping center filled with a diverse range of stores. Additionally, it's only a 25-minute drive from Philly, which makes it extremely easy when you need to take a trip into Philly. Nearby Resident: Ambler is a great, lively little town with a lot of personality! There's usually a lot to do, and there are many small businesses that give Ambler more personality than some of the more gentrified similar towns on the main line. Current Resident: The public schools here are very good. They provide students with numerous different areas to grow, and are highly ranked among the state with their test scores. The neighborhood is very safe, and there are many convenience stores around as well as traditional fast food options and healthy alternatives for an easy dinner. I have personally visited multiple retirement centers in this area during my time at the public schools and they have a very lovely interior and the staff are always friendly. The community works to bring each other up, a little over a year ago a tornado came through (a surprise to us all) and took with it some houses and the high school. A movement known as "UD strong" (Upper Dublin is the district's name) is the name of the community uniting and helping each other through this hard time. Current Resident: Living in Blue Bell is very nice! It's quiet, peaceful and there are amazing places for entertainment near by. Blue Bell's community is very polite as well, I think it's a good place to be if you'd like to have peace and quiet. The only draw back I can think of is that there getting to a shopping center is tricky without a car. There is also a great amount of construction that goes on, it can get in the way of driving. Current Resident: My wife and I have lived in Conshy for almost 4 years now! We absolutely love living here. Conshy has a bustling city feel with a outdoorsy suburban vibe. You get the best of both world while paying low taxes and having a top tier school district. The resturant scene and small town feel was another reason why we gravitated towards the area!There are endless restuarants to choose from and there are new "ghost kitchens" poping up all over. Most if not all of the resurants and stores are pet friendly which is a plus. The accessibiliy to the local trails and parks is another selling point for the area. I enjoy riding my bike along the scenic schuylkill river trail to Valley Forge Park (10 miles up and 10 miles back). Lastly, I am excited for the redevelopment of the waterfront and the new train station. Mixing the historic buildings with the new will definetely reshape city scape of Conshy. Current Resident: Plymouth Meeting is a small town. For me, it's close to a lot of stores and the highways and turnpike is very close. I would like to raise a family in this community, however, the market to purchase a home in this area is very high. Hopefully with the years to come the market will become more affordable for minorities. Also, the apartment developments are raising the price of living but not upgrading. So, it seems that we as renters are paying for the area rather than our actual home. Hopefully this improves over the next few years, other than these few issues it is a great community and has a lot of opportunity for children to participate in extracurricular activities and grow.... Current Resident: I love North Wales! There's restaurants and stores everywhere, neighborhoods are kept clean and close together. There's always new flowers being planted and they listen to community advice. My grandfather suggested the neighborhood brick entrance sign looked a little dirty and falling apart. A month later it was restored, repainted and they installed all new gold lettering, so I'd say, very on top of things! I'm not much of a party girl so I can't say much on nightlife. Current Resident: This quiet, suburban town is a great area to raise a family. There are plenty of things to do in the area. You can go for a walk at the family-friendly Manderach Park, go mini golfing or to the batting cages at Waltz’s Golf Farm, or even shopping at the local shopping centers. King of Prussia Mall, one of If not the largest mall in America, is only a 20 minutes drive on highway 422. The historical and lively city of Philadelphia is about a 45 minute drive away which is a great place to visit museums or enjoy nightlife. All local and essential stores are within a 5 mile radius in the township. The Spring-Ford Area School District is the nearby public school and has a great education system. Current Resident: I have lived in Hatfield, Pennsylvania my entire life and I would not want to live anywhere else. It is a wonderful small town, with an amazing community and a variety of things to do. There is a lovely town, with little shops and tons of restaurants. Everything is in a perfect distance of each other, so you are not driving too far for anything. It is the perfect place to raise a family, especially since the schools in the area are some of the top schools in the state. Niche User: The atmosphere and aura of this neighborhood is outstanding. The neighbors were friendly and welcoming even before we moved in! It is mainly families in this neighborhood but the kids are never too noisy. If I could do the process over again, I would still want my parents to chose this neighborhood to live in. Although we moved in when i was 10, this home means more to me than the one we were in before. After living in a small townhouse, it is so refreshing being in this neighborhood. Parent: Perkiomen Township is a great place to raise kids. Baseball, Soccer, Field Hockey, Lacrosse. There are even several community theater organizations. Lots of parks and close to the Perkiomen Trail. The school district is one of the top schools rated in the State. We were going to move but stayed in the district because of the schools. Very little land to build on is left. A great location and close to everything. Former Resident: I loved growing up in the little town of Spring Mount. It was a small community and everyone new everyone. There was not a whole lot for the kids to do, but we always had fun and came up with things to do. Skiing in walking distances was always a blast and we had a pretty nice sledding hill before the township took it and built townhomes. Summer was filled with kick-ball and pool hopping. Current Resident: I love Schwenksville, there is an adorable stretch of stores that range from boutiques to restaurants to bookstores. Having worked in the area, my experience is that the people are very nice. Saturdays and Sundays are busy times so usually you can see many people walking around.
