Parent: The curriculum is strong, with students working above grade level in many subjects. Teachers set high expectations and then help each child achieve those goals in a warm and nurturing environment. Each day students’ folders are filled with the work that they have completed so that parents can be informed of their child’s progress. Any obstacles are handled at early stages and the child is treated with the utmost respect every step of the way. The emphasis on STEAM is helping to prepare students for a successful future. Every member of the staff knows each kid--not only their names, but their individual personalities. Additional benefits of ACE include smaller class sizes, character development, a uniform that minimizes drama in the mornings, responsive staff, and an exceptional facility. Parent: Our 2-year-old has attended Merritt since she was 6 months old, and we would not dream of sending her anywhere else. Our experience has been magical. Merritt is not only her school; it is her second home. We truly feel that her teachers love and care for her as if she were their own child.  The environment at Merritt is as enriching as it is loving. Even for babies and toddlers, teachers treat the experience like school--in the best sense of the word, with endless activities that are fun, creative, engaging and educational. On a practical note, the hours and holiday/weather closures at Merritt are better than any day care or school we have heard of. Merritt prides itself on serving working families, and it does. We have a somewhat unusual weekday schedule, and Merritt has accommodated us so that we can maximize time with our daughter. Parent: We feel so blessed to have found this school for our children. There’s not one thing we aren’t impressed with. The teachers and staff, the curriculum and extracurricular activities, the overall atmosphere and general vibe when you are on campus… it’s really a top-notch institution. It’s evident that the staff actually loves what they do, and more importantly, enjoys being part of the broader FBA family (side note: I’ve had guests visit the school and even pick up on that). What other schools excel at, FBA matches that and then some. The highly rated public schools we are zoned to won’t be able to sway us from leaving. It really is that special!... Read 26 reviews
