- City in Texas
Current Resident: I moved to College Station, TX, two years ago. It is a "college town" and boasts as the "Home of Texas A&M." It is only 1-3 hours from four major Texas cities: Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, and Austin. By population College Station is small, but when counted with its sister-city, Bryan, and the massive population of students, we qualify for many major retail and restaurant chains not typically offered to smaller towns. CSISD is one the best school districts in the United States and my children are receiving top notch education from the public schools here. It is a very healthy city is many ways. Fitness is an obvious priority to the majority of the residents, as evidenced by the city's many tracks and trails which are always heavily populated. The city is growing rapidly with new homes and businesses being built constantly. With the surge in residents, traffic is a nightmare! I intend to pursue avenues to petition the city to increase traffic control measures.

Current Resident: Fort Collins is an excellent town. Located just an hour north of Denver, it has a population of around 150,000. To the west lies Horsetooth Resevoir, a beautiful lake where people can swim, boat, hike, and more. It's a short drive up to the mountains, as well. Old Town Fort Collins has tons of great restaurants, and an excellent nightlife scene--there's something for everyone. Fort Collins also hosts some of the best breweries around: New Belgium Brewing Company, which is on its way to becoming a nationwide favorite, to name one. This city also has residents from all different backgrounds so no matter your age or the size of your family, Fort Collins is a great place to live. Colorado State University is also a great school with about 35,000 students, so there are plenty of opportunities for students and non-students to enjoy CSU events. Fort Collins is consistently ranked one of the best places to live in the U.S., and in my experience, this is definitely the case!

Current Resident: I absolutely love living in Sansy Springs, Georgia! I have been here for a little over ten years, and this city has afforded me many opportunities that I otherwise wouldn't have had in the small town that I am from. Sandy Springs has everything a person could need or want in close proximity. I would highly recommend Sandy Springs living to anyone that would be interested. I especially love the sense of community in Sandy Springs. Not to mention the awesome police department that keeps their citizens safe. All in all, there's nothing I can say negatively about Sandy Springs!

Current Resident: Scottsdale is considered a luxurious city. We have plenty of visitors/tourist through the year. Some come for the heat during the summer and come for the winter months because there the live 65 degrees is a heavenly temperature to be in. We have some of the best dining options imaginable. You can go to neighboorhood restaurants or go to the five-star resorts, and eat with some of the best views. Current Resident: My experiences living in Elgin, Illinois have been nothing but pleasant. I attended Elgin High School, and graduated a semester early. The Elgin Police Department does a phenomenal job at keeping the city safe. The nightlife of Elgin varies on people's areas of interest. I like how the Real Estate Market has been improving. I like how Elgin contains grocery stores that provide organic goods to sustain healthy living such as The Fresh Market. Commute time is great! Elgin has three train stations off of the Metra Milwaukee District West Line, and the train connects to other west suburbs of Chicago, as well as downtown Chicago. Cost of living in Elgin is pretty fair, however, rent in the downtown area is a little on the steep side. Job opportunities within the city include retail, accounting, civil engineering, parks and recreation, nursing, and teaching to name a few. Last but not least, my favorite thing about the city of Elgin is its diversity, as well how family friendly it is.

Current Resident: Alexandria is a beautiful place to live, it has diverseness and has interest for everyone! Alexandria is about a 20 minute drive from D.C., although the traffic will make it seem longer. There are many things to do in Alexandria as well. There is Old town Alexandria and there is a variety of diverse different cultured foods in Old towne . There are big name clothing stores but little local ones too. There are beautiful little gardens and a waterfront that you can sit and enjoy your local ice cream. Alexandria is a great mixture for wanting to live close to the city but having your quiet time and being able to come back to your suburban neighborhoods.

Current Resident: Boise is home to many small town people and is now becoming a hot spot for out of state residents. It is small enough yet big enough. Boise is usually ranked on the top cities articles. More and more people are moving to Boise to raise their families. Boise school district is ranked one of the top in the nation. This little gem has everything you need from outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, water sports, winter sports to a decent night life, exposure to culture in the form of music, dance, theater, food, and the local Basque block. It has also become a popular spot for wine lovers and home grown local brews!

Current Resident: Denton, Texas is a spectacular town that is a mixture of college town and family living. From the downtown square and their old-time-y businesses to the new shopping areas in northern Denton. I attend the University of North Texas and the campus is gorgeous. Although the roads around the campus need lots of love. Their is a bit of construction on I35 that runs right through the town, but it is going quickly. Everything is cute, has loads of character, and family friendly while still offering places to go for college-aged students. There is parks, recreational areas, and there is bars and lots and lots of places to grab some grub. Now, the food. OH the food! From regular fast food chains to high end restaurants for date night. There is breakfast and brunch places that smash your pancake and mimosa craving and there is late night greasy corner store for all your late night cravings. Denton truly has everything you could need to survive college or raise a family.

Current Resident: Ample reasons exist to love living in Henderson, Nevada. These including events and venues, the park system that is integrated with residential areas, and the hot summer heat! There are many reasons to be grateful to live in this community, and only living here encompasses the feel of the town!
The outdoor amphitheater, The Henderson Pavilion, has offered a location for famous artists such as Smash Mouth, to local orchestras and speakers such as Brandon Flowers from The Killers.
The average house in Henderson does not have grass, the parks are designed to have open fields of grass. All parks are neatly kept, and grouped together by paths that connect the parks, making learning your community and surroundings, and meeting your neighbors easy.
Nothing beats 120° F summers. The average home in Henderson has a backyard pool, if not there is not a public pool far off. Swimming parties can be found weekly.
The City of Henderson is truly, as the city advertises "A Place to Call Home".

Nearby Resident: Cambridge Massachusetts is a wonderfully vibrant and exciting city. I have lived in the text town over my whole life and I have gone to school and worked there for many years. Cambridge is the home of many colleges, which bring such a wide variety of people to the city which make it incredibly diverse. I really enjoy how many different areas there are in the city, there is something for everyone. Everywhere you turn there are amazing restaurants and shops to explore. Having worked in the school systems in Cambridge they are wonderful, which isn't much of a surprise seeing as though the city is known for their world-class education. I also love how many health-focused stores and restaurants there are as well having areas for outdoor exercise and encouraging bike riding over driving. The only downside to Cambridge is that all of these wonderful qualities make it a rather expensive place to live. However, I love this city and consider it be my home!

Current Resident: I was born and raised here in El Paso! It truly is a wonderful city rich in cultural heritage. The majority of people in El Paso are Hispanic and it is very vibrant with Mexican culture. Called the Sun City, it is situated in the center of the Chihuahua Desert and is sunny and hot throughout most of the year. At times in the summer, it can get it be extremely hot. The beautiful mountains surrounding the city are wonderful to explore and also protect the city from most any kind of natural disaster or intense weather. The quality of education in El Paso is decent, although schools in El Paso do not receive nearly as much funding as other schools in Texas. The city itself is also a bit underfunded, though efforts are being made to modernize and improve the city. One of the major issues with El Paso is its continual reliance on fossil fuels, including fracking, oil reserves, and many, many pipelines. This has led to air pollution and water and air toxins.

Current Resident: Brownsville is a great town to live in! The city has great people, culture, food, and things to do. I have lived in Brownsville for over 24 years, and believe that it is one of the best places to raise a family. Brownsville's urban area is one of the fastest growing in the United States. Local attractions include the Gladys Porter Zoo, the Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, Camille Lightner Playhouse, a historical downtown with buildings over 150 years old, the Port of Brownsville, and the Children's Museum of Brownsville. There is also easy access to South Padre Island and the Mexican city of Matamoros, Tamaulipas. Additionally, Brownsville also has the Sunrise Mall, which is the largest shopping mall in the city of Brownsville.

Current Resident: Irving has such a diverse atmosphere not only in the public schools but community held events. Which get people outside of their homes to meet the other community members, in the 18 years I have been living here this new experience they brought is phenomenal and I hope they continue to do this for years to come. My favorite was the Christmas Jubilee where companies in the community came out and served food for free as well as holding different activities for younger kids and teenagers. I was amazed by the turn out yet to realize Irving is such a diverse place filled with different cultures that should be embraced!

Current Resident: Stamford is a wonderful city without to much of the large city problems. Recently there has been renovations to fix up streets which has caused traffic but they have worked quickly and in the end the streets are looking wonderful. There are plenty of restaurants to try, and stores to explore, especially in the center! If anything I would hope they do put in some time and budget for streets that are not considered "main streets" but are still heavily used. Fixing at least the sidewalks near or on the way to our parks in order to have a safer environment for families and joggers, etc. With the new apartments I'm sure we are getting quite a few new young adults but even they would appreciate more places for kids. My generation of college students tend to acknowledge being kids at heart themselves. But we appreciate all the restaurants/bars (for those 21+) as well!

Many healthy options are available with a city wide biking path system and several lakes for activities. Former Resident: Ever since I was a little girl I've always adored the rich culture that Laredo has.
While it is in Texas, the Mexican culture that comes from across the border pours into our town, is what makes our city so full of life. The celebrations that are held during all the Mexican holidays are always spectacular! Filled with delicious authentic Mexican food, and wonderful Hispanic activities. They never cease to amaze the people of this town. The people in are community are always looking for new and better ways to improve our town. In addition, the way our people are willing to unite and help one another is just wonderful.
However if I did want one thing to change it'd be the nightlife. If we had more venues and events more often. I'm certain Laredo would be more of a city people would love to see.
All in all, because Laredo is full of rich Mexican culture, and a wonderful community it's a lovely place to live. If the nightlife was more rich Laredo would be more sought out.

Current Resident: I love living in north Fargo. It's a city big enough to have everything you could possibly need, but it also has that small town feel to it. You don't have to drive for half an hour just to get to a grocery store or a bank, for example. Finding a job in Fargo is extremely easy and since it is the Midwest, most people are very friendly. The only thing I dislike about Fargo is the crime rate and safety. Things that happen "in the movies" happens here and that's a bit nerve wracking. Other than that, I truly love Fargo and think it's a city of success and opportunities!

Current Resident: I've been living in Santa Rosa for my entire life and have enjoyed everything about Santa Rosa! First things first, Santa Rosa is a joyous city that features activities all year round. For example the Fair that comes near the end of every summer, or the Wednesday Night Markets that occur near downtown. Another great thing about Santa Rosa is how close it is to other great places; such as Napa, San Francisco, Sacramento and the coast. Santa Rosa is a great environment for families to enjoy the warm weather in the summer, and the chilly days of winter.

Current Resident: Madison is an incredibly vibrant city full of culture! Having moved from Las Vegas, I was apprehensive about what I may find, but was pleasantly surprised and absolutely impressed. There is no shortage of music, art, food, festivals, shopping, and of course stunning lakeside views. The city is always growing and always adapting to the needs of the community. I take great pride in living in a place where such great care is taken. Madison, with its many exceptional schools, leads the nation in research and advancements in agriculture, medicine, business, and environmental health and safety. The opportunities that I have had here have allowed me to be successful and well rounded. I am happy to call Madison, Wisconsin my home.

Current Resident: Sioux Falls, SD, is a great town! It isn't too heavily populated with a lot to do. There are seasonal activities such as Great Bear for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing in winter and summer there is Wild Water West water park. Summer events such as Hot Harley Nights, Summer Nights, and the Sioux Falls Fair bring a lot of outdoor activities and concerts for everyone to enjoy. There is also the Falls Park, which the city is named after. It is well lit in the winter with Christmas lights and lights on the falls that change color. There is a large variety of restaurants and fast food places for great food. The Denny Premier Center has frequent concerts and sporting events. If the sport isn't played at the premier center then it is held at the Sanford Pentagon, where a lot of tournaments are also held. If I could change something about Sioux Falls, I would get Uber so one could have a way of getting home after going downtown and drinking.

Current Resident: Costa Mesa has been home to me on and off for the past 25 years. There is plenty to do in this city; from summer time fun at the OC fair to pumpkin patches off of Harbor Blvd in the fall. Costa Mesa is very family friendly with numerous schools, restaurants, and beaches close by. This city also has a great night life for adults, young and old alike, which makes living here exciting year round. Weather you are here for business, pleasure, or living, Costa Mesa has plenty to offer any type of person!

Current Resident: What I would like to see change is to lower the cost of living. In average, a one bedroom apartment might cost around $1300 plus other living expenses might be out of hand. I do understand that Disneyland might be one of the causes that allow the value of certain properties to go up but this is insane! For the most part, the residents of Anaheim are humble people that spent their days working hard. The nightlife in Anaheim is basically dead. All the nightlife from Anaheim migrates to Fullerton, to be more specific Downtown Fullerton. Which is not so far from Anaheim. Anaheim is a great place to raise a family because as much as it is filled with tough people who will not take attitude from others, it is filled with kind and humble people that love to help one another.
