Current Resident: Great town! The only thing that prevented me from giving it 5-stars is that it is very expensive and taxes are high. Current Resident: Super fortunate to have moved here 15 years ago. And with 4 kids spread out between the elementary school, middle school, and the high school, I see why the taxes are what they are because my children are getting the best education and support that public schools can offer! Current Resident: Walker’s paradise! So easy to find good places to eat: lots of sushi, Chinese food, diners, etc. Great produce at local market. Needs a new Supermarket but hopefully Stop and Shop will open up in Great Neck. Very convenient to work out at Planet Fitness. LIRR is easy to walk to and the short ride into Manhattan is great for commuters. Also lots of Nice busses to Flushing, Manhasset mall, Lynbrook, and other parts of Great Neck next to the LIRR station.... Read 5 reviews

Current Resident: The village of Lake success located within the community of Great Neck is an unbelievable place to live and raise a family for so many reasons. Our public school system is top rated, the train station is less than a mile away and 24 minutes express to Manhattan, we have a beautiful 18 hole golf course which is only a few thousand dollars a year for village residents. The golf club has a fitness center available to all residents which is only 50 dollars per resident per year, and a restaurant open to all residents. We have a beautiful pool club with 10 tennis courts for village residents as well, and an amazing summer camp program for children ages 3-7 . We have a private police department and trash pick up 6 days a week. I doubt there is another community with so much to offer in the tri-state area and taxes are relatively low considering what you are getting!... Read 2 reviews

Current Resident: Grew up in Jericho and still live here. Top rated school district, the town itself has a rich history. Just a seven-minute drive to the Hicksville train station, a 15-minute drive to the Roosevelt Field Mall, close to Cantiague Park and Eisenhower Park, the Long Island Expressway, the Northern State Parkway, Whole Foods, Starbucks, dry cleaners, 7-Elevens, banks, movie theaters, The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, The NYCB Music Theater and neighborhood restaurants (including the famous Milleridge Inn). The only downside living in Jericho are the very high property and school taxes, the congested main thoroughfare route 106/107, and the virtually non existent night life in this town. Current Resident: Great schools, lovely architecture, access to multiple village centers with shops and dining. 35 minutes to midtown Manhattan by train and easy access to hiking and biking just minutes away. Not much ethnic or socioeconomic diversity, but nevertheless a solid sense of community can be found and it is a great place to raise kids. High rents and challenging parking seem to limit the success of the Village’s core commercial district, leading to the loss of Zachy’s and several solid restaurants. For its high property taxes residents get modern and well-appointed schools, well-paid teachers, and a gorgeous newly redesigned public library. Curiously, however, the roads seem comparatively less well-maintained than neighboring jurisdictions. On balance, people move here for the schools, the commute, and property values that are robust to broader economic shocks and mostly seem to move up at a steady clip. Current Resident: My overall experience with Westport, Connecticut has been very positive. I have had the pleasure of visiting this beautiful town on numerous occasions and each time I have had a wonderful experience. The town offers so much in terms of outdoor activities, from shopping and dining, to nature walks and outdoor sports. The people are polite and friendly, making it easy to make friends and socialize. The town is well-kept and clean, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy yourself.
