Current Resident: I grew up in Metairie/Kenner. This place is so beautiful. Imagine how you would live in the house in the city in Metairie/Kenner. When you self care at home after you walk out of the house. You smell the fresh because you did take care of your beautiful home in the safety area. You feel happy that you able to affordable at home. When you get in the car, you drive and see the beautiful art stand on the grass by the road. Pass the road and you drive on the highway. You oversee the water that there is so beautiful color and even sky too. Whenever you enter the store for whatever you. need, the worker will make you appreciate for everything . They deserve you better because you and them do respect each other. Jobs can give you an opportunity. The environment will treat you well when you think of positive every day. Niche User: If I could do it all over again, I would live in this area because it's a quiet and friendly neighborhood. Everyone keeps with their houses well compared to other areas. There's a forest, which makes it feel nature-friendly. It's not too far removed from downtown and there's easy access to restaurants / markets / shopping places. Current Resident: Gretna is a great place to live. They have their own police department and a super fast response time. I had an incident once where they got to my house within 45 seconds! Gretna also has really good public parks that offer a wide range of activities for children 18 and under. The only thing I do not like about Gretna is that they have traffic cameras on the side of the roads which will sometimes "ding" you for speeding when sometimes you are not. Current Resident: Typically a safe city depending on where you live at, sometimes there is bad traffic on manhattan which needs an better way of getting around it without having to go far out of the way. There are plenty of grocery stores nearby, as well as food options. No fun activities for kids besides the movie theater which is closed due to covid. Current Resident: I live in Hahnville, Louisiana where I attend Hahnville High School. The school system is great but at the end of the day its still school so its not my favorite thing in the world. Honestly most of my friends live 10-15 minutes away from me which doesn't sound terrible but it isn't ideal for a high school student who pays for her own gas. To go anywhere "fun" you have to pretty much at least have to drive 15-20 minutes. But on the bright side my entire family is from Hahnville! My pappy's house is right next door and my uncle lives down my street. Its a small town but we are all very close which always ends up paying off in the end.... Read 3 reviews

Current Resident: St. Rose is a town where you can walk down the street without almost any fear. Yes we have our fair share of crime, but not much. Everyone here for the most part is friendly, and you can tell by just the wave of a hand. The school system here is one of the best in the state for public schools. ACT scores could be higher as an average, but the graduation rate is very up there. You have a well range of businesses in the area. You don't need to go that far to get what you need.... Current Resident: I love the quietness and peacefulness of Laplace. The houses are beautiful and a lot cheaper than other suburbs of New Orleans. I have a lake in my backyard so living here is pretty cool. However, sometimes crossing the bridge to get here gets tiring. I did get used to it but it can take a while to get to your destination and sometimes if there is an accident or something of that sort, the traffic gets heavy. Current Resident: Chalmette is a great place to raise a family. Very little crime and EMS's are swift to the rescue. The people are friendly and accommodating. Great Mom and Pop restaurants with great food and service. Chalmette host the Annual Louisiana Crawfish Festival. Most importantly, The parish government listens to the people who elected them. The government practical has an open door policy. Not to mention, The best fishing in the country. We have canals, creeks, bridges, levees, piers, docks, bayou's swamps, intercoastal waterways, Gulf of Mexico, inlets, outlets marinas and lakes. We are an island, surrounded by water. We have salt water and fresh fishing available, or better known as brackish water. It has awesome parks for recreation and team sports or just family fun. Nearby Resident: I live in Benton and it's a great place to be. More than likely, you will have to travel outside of Benton to work, but it's about a 20 minute drive to Bossier City and 35 to Shreveport. That's at the busiest times 7-9 am. We have a quiet town with local businesses opening more and more, and I prefer to shop in Benton when I can. There are several outstanding public schools. Kingston Elementary, Legacy Elementary, Benton Elementary, Benton Intermediate and Benton High School. We have lots of Benton pride. We could use a few more restaurants, but we are growing. I live 5 minutes outside of Benton on a farm. There is lots of land for sale right outside of the town limits and many new houses popping up within. Bossier City and Shreveport are a short drive away if you want shopping malls, chain restaurants, casinos, or night life.
