Glendora
Current Resident: I've lived in Glendora for the better part of 20 years, it's my hometown & though I complain about it occasionally, there are very few places that genuinely compare. I've lived all throughout CA from the central coast to the southern tip of our great state, school hopped in elementary, & even attended another HS briefly & I tend to prefer it here; it's just cozy & mostly sensible.
Crime has stayed decent despite the rise in all over too, a great relief, I never feel unsafe taking a stroll & I've done a ton of that since I was a kid, even at night. With it's close proximity to everything anyone could need +more & the developing Gold Line, it's pretty much perfect as a commuter town, always close to some activity or another. Somehow Glendora remains a "small town" in LA County too, which is impressive really. I tend to admire our planning commission, nothing offensive or out of the ordinary here.
Were the housing market affordable, I would raise my own children here for sure.... Read 181 reviews
