Featured Review: Current Resident says We moved here from Colorado 2 years ago to Ruskin. Here are some good and not so great things about the area:1) Good - Rapid development. Everything is going in. 301 will have 6 lanes through Sun City and New Publix at Belmont. As it gets more populated, more will be developed. 2) Good - 10 minutes to the ocean. EG Simmons park is literally 10 minutes to the Bay and you can see, both Tamp and St. Pete from the smaller beach. 3) Great - Home prices. You can get a 5br/4bth with 3 car garage for 349K WOW4) Not so great- Schools. But Hillsborough County is not great all around. You can find some gems, which we have, and are great schools. 5) Meh - Commute. It is about 20 minutes to Brandon and another 20 or so to downtown Tampa. But everything in Florida requires long driving. It is not a public transportation kinda State for sure.6) It's growing. And will continue to grow and that will help your home prices if you get in now while the deals are good!.
