Current Resident: I have lived in Vallejo CA. for over two decades and I love it! I enjoy the nice weather and my quiet neighborhood. Vallejo does not have a high crime rate and their are plenty of educational opportunities in the Solano county area. One of my favorite things about Vallejo is that there is plenty of nearby shopping and restaurants. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom is only 10 minutes away from my house! I attended junior high and high school in Vallejo CA. I truly enjoyed my educational experiences in Vallejo. I plan attend Touro University in Vallejo soon to earn my Master's degree in Nursing! Although I love living in Vallejo and would not have it any other way, there are some things about the town that I live in which could use some improvement. Current Resident: I have lived in White Center for 30 years, and have found it to be the most friendly, diverse, family-oriented area in the Seattle suburbs. White center is a place where music and the arts are second to none. The school system there focuses on advanced learning and preparing students for high-end employment goals. We have found White Center one of the safest areas in the greater Seattle area. Fine eateries and outdoor bistros are a treat. We have some of the finest chefs in the area. High paying employment is readily available, and our town's overall college graduate percentages exceeded our expectations. Current Resident: I've grown up in Jersey City, and there are many things I really love about it, such as its proximity to Manhattan and the easy access to the big city across the Hudson River thanks to the PATH train. I also appreciate the vibrant downtown area and the beautiful marina I've ridden my bike beside for years alongside my family and friends. Additionally, there's the expansive Liberty State Park for family cookouts and picnics, and much more. It's quite a charming and welcoming place. Diversity is also something remarkable about Jersey City, constantly hearing people around you talking in their native tongues and admiring different traditional clothing on the streets. If there was something I could change about this great city, I would hope to get the community more engaged with each other by having more yearly neighborhood events. Current Resident: As a newer resident moving to Spring Valley from San Francisco, CA, I can say that it’s been a nice experience. It’s pretty easy to live here, comfortable, bigger homes with yards, friendly neighbors, lots of stores and convenience. The strip is really close. “Traffic” is pretty rare, which is amazing. You can get anywhere in Vegas in about 20-30 minutes without worrying about sitting in gridlock or awful stop and go traffic. Sometimes there’s traffic in and around the strip but I tend to avoid that area unless I have friends or family coming to visit. I’m now about a year and a half into my time here in Vegas, and one of the downsides to living in this area and pretty much all of Vegas, is that there are way too many drivers who speed, and car and motorcycle crashes occur more often than they should. Current Resident: SeaTac is a wonderful city with a large variety of people. It has safe and friendly neighborhoods, with very welcoming people. I have lived in Seattle for almost 10 years now, and have been fully contact living here. The nearby schools are great, with the district being Highline Public Schools. There are also lots of shopping centers near by, so when you need to buy something, it wont take long to get to the nearest store. Although, it is a suburb so it’s never very loud or busy. Current Resident: The place here in my opinion is very nice. There isn't any crime that goes on here, there are a lot of friendly people, and you have access to many different places that are nearby. Current Resident: Gaithersburg is a beautiful city. There are almost two parts to the city as I see it. One part is more "high-end", "modern" side. This means the infrastructure in this part looks newer, there are more shopping complexes, and the socioeconomic class is on a higher level. The other part of Gaithersburg, just as beautiful, is more on still "developing" side. There are older buildings that are often undergoing construction and the socioeconomic class is closer to "middle class". Current Resident: Parkway is a great neighborhood on the up and up. More and more people are implementing drought tolerant and pollinator friendly yards, and you see solar panels all over the place. Constant improvements going on to the roads and peoples' homes. You see people out walking dogs or taking a jog, and families walking kids to school. Current Resident: The northeastern neighborhoods, Broadmoor and Estudillo Estates, represent some of the best value in the East Bay. Relatively safe, walkable tree-lined neighborhoods, where a 3 bedroom house can still be bought for just 1 to 1.3 million (a relative bargain). Many tech and professional middle class families are moving in here now, having been priced out of Berkeley and Oakland. Elementary schools here are considered good, and it is only a matter of time before the middle/high school follow suit given the changing demographics. And it’s wonderfully diverse, with every major ethnicity represented in roughly equal proportions. There is a decent restaurant scene here, but most of Oakland is still only 10-15 min away. The only negative thing is that people may look down upon you for living in a less perceived prestigious city, but joke’s on them- life is fantastic here. Current Resident: norristown is a pretty standard town. there are better parts of town than others but thats everywhere. The bad parts of town aren't that bad, but you need to know how to read situations. Read your surroundings; notice the people you pass by, notice if a street looks TOO secluded, learn when to stop staring at people, etc. also, be friendly! if you're walking past someone on the street, say good morning! The homeless population is on the rise so be kind! If you don't have a dollar to spare, don't be rude; most of us are 2 missed paychecks away from being them! Norristown has good people, good food, and mostly a good sense of community. The proximity to hubs like KoP and blue bell give a lot to do for the kids. The proximity to golf courses, national parks, walking/hiking trails gives something to do for nature lovers! Current Resident: I love living in North Brunswick, as someone who has been a resident here since 2006. I've had a positive experience at their public schools, and am proud to graduate from NBTHS this year! North Brunswick Township public schools have a very diverse student body, and students of all backgrounds and identities are celebrated. It's a great place to be amongst kind, open-minded people. Current Resident: Duluth is a fantastic place to be, especially for Korean Americans. There is a very vibrant Korean community with great offering for people of all ages. John's Creek the next city over has great school systems. There are numerous well-established church communities for the religious members as well. There are so many amazing ethnic groceries and restaurants available, very accessible. For the young people, there is a very vibrant bar/ billiard/ lounge/ karaoke scenery as well. Duluth downtown also offers a quaint shopping and evening outing opportunities as well. People are friendly, service is great, and there are great dining experiences to be had as well. Duluth is also centrally located with relatively short commute to nearby cities as well, notably Decatur, Alpharetta, Buckhead, Lawrenceville, and Suwanee.
