Current Resident: I love living in Windsor Park, the most culturally diverse area of Charlotte. It’s safe and peaceful on our cul-de-sac and around the rest of the neighborhood, neighbors are friendly. You can find the best international food in Charlotte hands down on this side of town. The MLS team HQ is coming to the Eastland Development and the Goldline for the Uptown Streetcar as well. We have a farmers market and urban farm within our neighborhood and an international open air market just down the street. Very close to Noda and Plaza just 10 min from Uptown. Evergreen Nature Preserve and Reedy Creek Nature Preserve are very close by with beautiful hiking/running trails that makes you feel like you’re not in a city. This is the hot new area to get into before prices are like Uptown, Noda, Plaza and South End as development is spreading out and a lot of homes are already starting to flip.... Read 17 reviews

City in North Carolina
Current Resident: Moving from Florida, there was a big adjustment for me in regard to the pace of the city and especially the people. The most telling thing about Charlotte is that it's so hard to come across natives and I believe that correlates to its newness in comparison to other large cities. When me and my family first arrived we lived on the West side of Charlotte off of Sunset but have been on the South side for the past seven years and even this side alone has changed drastically. Although, we were right by the mall this entire area was pretty much vacant with a couple of restaurants and now there's apartment buildings coming up on every corner. I've witnessed immense growth in Charlotte that has taken it from a quaint city to a thriving hub for establishment, sports, living and entertainment. There's so many opportunities being brought in with this growth but my least favorite attribute of it all is the traffic!... Read 1,266 reviews

Former Resident: I grew up in Durham, and it was a wonderful experience. The city has a unique mix of urban and suburban neighborhoods that provided me with different perspectives and experiences. Growing up in Durham, I was exposed to a diverse population with a mix of ethnic and cultural groups, which was an invaluable opportunity to learn and appreciate different cultures. Durham is also known for its universities, including Duke University and North Carolina Central University. As a result, education was always a top priority in our community, and I was fortunate to have access to excellent schools. One of the things I loved about Durham was the city's strong arts and culture scene. Events like the American Dance Festival and the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival provided me with opportunities to experience and appreciate different forms of art, which was very enriching. Overall, I am grateful for the experience of growing up in Durham, and I believe it has shaped me into the person I am today.... Read 692 reviews

Town in North Carolina
Nearby Resident: Sanford is a charming little town in the middle of absolutely nowhere. I graduated from Lee County High School in 2023, and loved my experience in the surrounding area. There are plenty of things to do and places to visit around town. I personally have enjoyed seeing and participating in multiple shows and concerts at Lee County High, Temple Theatre, and with Lee County Community Orchestra. There are multiple amazing restaurants, bakeries, and consignment shops around downtown, as well as multiple parks with walking trails, playgrounds, picnic areas, etc. for the whole family to enjoy.... Current Resident: My experience living in Hope Mills has been somewhat uneventful, which is good. I do not believe I could handle a town packed with action. There are many peaceful settings for people who want to relax. My favorite locations are the library and the lake by the local Dam. Accidents are so minimal, that you could travel to Hope Mills library without any worry of cars crashing. My only complaint is that the Middle School (Specifically Hope Mills Middle School) needs to get its act together. Instigating is a norm there, which immensely diminishes one's self-esteem for a better future.... Read 95 reviews

Current Resident: Alright.. I know Lumberton, NC has a pretty bad reputation. However, if you’ve lived there all your life like I have, them you’ll have had a chance to see the good - whereas the media only displays the bad. Lumberton has a community that feels like a family, it’s a beautiful little town, and there’s so much history! It’s easy to judge a book by its cover. But actually looking inside and reading the book makes all the difference. Of course there will be bad things. Name one place that there isn’t... I’ll wait... that’s what I thought. Looking inside the book also shows you the beauty, the relationships, and the amazing souls that lie within it. That’s Lumberton, North Carolina for ya! :)... Read 83 reviews

Current Resident: I have lived in High Point, North Carolina, my entire life. The population of High Point is 113,148. The majority of High Point is in Guilford County, but some parts are in Davidson, Forsyth, and Randolph counties. High Point is the only city in North Carolina that extends into four counties. The City of High Point was so named because it was the highest point on the North Carolina Railroad when it was established in 1859. High Point is known as the Furniture Capital of the World. The largest home furnishings industry trade show in the world is held in High Point during April and October each year. I love living in High Point and, in particular, in North Carolina. The beach is only three to four hours away, while you can take a trip to the mountains in about two hours. My entire extended family usually spends a week at the beach every summer. I really would not want to change anything about High Point. It offers everything you could want in order to have a happy life.... Read 310 reviews
