Current Resident: New Llano itself does not have any public schools. The town itself is pretty good. The police are constantly patrolling all the streets, making sure everyone is safe. I have never had any problems with theft or criminals. My neighbors are very friendly and the mayor is pretty good. There is one road that needs to be remade; it is full of potholes and cracks, it has to be one of the worst roads in all of Louisiana. Anyone that lives here knows exactly which road I am talking about. The city has easy access to a Wal-Mart for groceries and there are plenty of bars on the road.... Read 1 review

Current Resident: I have lived in DeRidder since June 2020 and I am pleased to say that it is a great place to temporarily stay. I do not see myself permanently living here for my entire life, however I do believe that it opens new opportunities to all individuals and represents community well. Compared to where I lived before, I appreciate its efforts to create different ways of gathering, such as Miracle on Washington Street, family friendly Christmas and Mardi Gras parades, as well as the fireworks show in downtown for the Fourth of July. DeRidder also advocates for the beautification of our parks and other areas of town. Current Resident: Gretna is a great place to live. They have their own police department and a super fast response time. I had an incident once where they got to my house within 45 seconds! Gretna also has really good public parks that offer a wide range of activities for children 18 and under. The only thing I do not like about Gretna is that they have traffic cameras on the side of the roads which will sometimes "ding" you for speeding when sometimes you are not. Current Resident: I live in Hahnville, Louisiana where I attend Hahnville High School. The school system is great but at the end of the day its still school so its not my favorite thing in the world. Honestly most of my friends live 10-15 minutes away from me which doesn't sound terrible but it isn't ideal for a high school student who pays for her own gas. To go anywhere "fun" you have to pretty much at least have to drive 15-20 minutes. But on the bright side my entire family is from Hahnville! My pappy's house is right next door and my uncle lives down my street. Its a small town but we are all very close which always ends up paying off in the end.... Read 3 reviews

Current Resident: I love the quietness and peacefulness of Laplace. The houses are beautiful and a lot cheaper than other suburbs of New Orleans. I have a lake in my backyard so living here is pretty cool. However, sometimes crossing the bridge to get here gets tiring. I did get used to it but it can take a while to get to your destination and sometimes if there is an accident or something of that sort, the traffic gets heavy.
