Current Resident: Kansas City has lots to offer and is pretty friendly for the most part. I have loved living here. The only unresolvable problem is the unpredictable weather. Sometimes we get all 4 seasons in less than a week! Other than that, there are fun amusement parks and things to do throughout the city. Some residents may think it is boring, but I highly recommend visiting!

Current Resident: I love our neighborhood! We have lived in Cherokee Hills for about 12 years. It’s quiet. You get to know your neighbors and people are kind. My husband lies to “neighbor” and the men folk stand out chatting about their yards, and fishing and who knows what. I am a wave and say hello kind of person. Everyone seems to care for their homes and take pride in keeping things nice and litter free. I love the individuality of our homes. Not like the modern day subdivision where every house is in the same three colors of beige. It’s a block party kind of neighborhood. Safe and secure with little crime. A lovely little park to walk to and take the kiddos or your dog. We moved from the Waldo area in KC, MO here because of crime and needing more space. I absolutely love it and we will be here for a very long time!

Current Resident: I am not originally from junction city. I have resided here since 2016. I have to say that as I’ve lived here I’ve noticed how involved the community is. They come together to support small business. We recently had a pit I’ll ban lifted as the entire community petitioned and continued to fight for its removal. After several failed attempts March was the turning point and the ban was lifted. It was amazing to see the community come together. The town host three different law enforcement departments. There is the city police. The Geary county police department and the juvenile corrections department. This town rally’s behind those that need help. We celebrate the history each year. We have celebrations and festivals for teenagers and youth. The school are amazing. Classes are smaller and teachers are incredibly involved and invested in their students and families. This is a wonderful place to live and I’m so thankful to be a part of the community!

Current Resident: Garden City is a fairly big city in Southwest Kansas. Out of the big three (Dodge and Liberal) Garden is the best to live in. However, a recent escalation in drug use has been an issue. A lack of places to eat is also a problem and the number of residents here is increasing each day. The only issue is Housing. If you want to buy a house, good luck! The housing market is ridiculously expensive compared to the jobs that are offered. Garden City is a mixing pot and you get the different races and cultures all in one town. Police department is excellent here.

Current Resident: Wichita, Kansas is a very diverse city! Wichitans take great pride in their homes, food, and schools. Wichitans support their local colleges! Every Wichitan knowns is proud to represent the Wichita State University Shockers! With being the largest city is Kansas, there is tons to do! The cost of living is low but the potential to build memories is high. Like every city it has it ups and downs. While it is a great community there is a high homeless population and some high crime areas. However, do not let this deter you from making Wichita your potential home. Come experience it for yourself!

Niche User: I've always felt safe in my neighborhood. It's typically quiet, and the neighbors are friendly. The crime rate is low, and on the rare occasion a crime is reported in this area it is a non-violent offense.
