Captain Cook
#22 Most Diverse Places to Live in Hawaii
Current Resident: A small town in the Big Island that is imbued with beauty, farmland, striking views and a serene quaintness in the downtown. There is no sign of city life around, here you will find people living simple, down to earth lives. Here people live in the jungle, surrounded by so much lush greenery, colors, and unique tropical animals (it’s seriously paradise). The people here truly have the aloha spirit. It’s one of the few towns I have found in my travels throughout Hawai’i, where I feel like I’m lost in another world. I have arrived on an island in the middle of no where 100 years from the past. Not to say there is no civilization, it’s very modern, but truly it has this lack of industrialization (that makes it feel like I’m lost in nature).
