Current Resident: I have enjoyed being a Sunrise Resident for over 9 years. Our city is consistent with hosting various community events and activities for families, as well as, educational opportunities and workshops for residents. Our Civic center hosts an array of sports and leisure classes throughout the year as well.Our law enforcement agencies are involved with city events and are so personable. I have done 2 leadership training programs with the City of Sunrise and continue to benefit from all of the resources available to its residents. Former Resident: My overall experience in Metro West was great. It had all I neede. Chase, Bank of America, Walmart, Amscot, USPS, UPS, FEDEX just to name a few. I could handle all my errands in one location. I never (thankfully) experienced any crime except maybe my packages being stolen twice. I was in different apartments and all were very quiet. its also a beautiful area where i could take walks. I chose to live there because it was close to my college at the time. Current Resident: Coral Springs is a wonderful city full of various recreation areas. Not only will you see enticing stores and delicious restaurants to dine at, but there are plenty of parks that are great for leisure and are pet-friendly. In addition to these amenities, the city of Coral Springs also has beautiful homes to reside in, as this city is a safe and peaceful one. There are also wonderful public schools for parents who wish to raise their children in the area. The only critique I have about the city would be in regards to the bike lines which are placed in the middle of the road. Although accidents are low in this area, they are not impossible; therefore, having bike lines in the middle of the street poses a threat to the cyclists. Current Resident: The profile above says our area "Leans Liberal" That is False. Memphis is a broad description. I live in Bay Colony/Palmetto Point and it is Trump Country no doubt. Our Trump parade had over 70 Golf carts and Dozens of cars and trucks. We watch out for each other for sure and as soon as a house hits the market it is gone at above asking. More dining out and delivery choices would be nice. There is always something going on in our hood, If you like to party you can find one every night of the week. Current Resident: Great place to live!!! Love the number of parks and activities taking place - farmer's markets, food truck events, dog parks, camping, and lots more. The largest mall in Florida is nearby with lots of shopping, activities, and restaurants. Even outside the mall, Plantation is full of restaurants, new construction, and great activities for families and young adults. The elementary schools are great. Current Resident: The Sanford area is a diverse community. Over the past several years, the downtown/historic area has really began to blossom, attracting a variety of restaurants and breweries to the area, bringing an attractive low key night life to the city. Family and pet friendly, the area at large offers the typical suburban conveniences with easy easy to the Orlando area and beaches. Traffic on the highways can be a little congested, but local traffic isn't bad. Current Resident: I love Ocoee so much, I just wish that there were more modes of transportation here. I am vision impaired and I rely on others for transportation because there are no bus stops near my house. Since I cannot see well, I really don't feel comfortable using Uber transportation yet.
