Niche User: I live in a quiet neighborhood where neighbors stick to themselves. I live very close to campus (5 minutes away) and work (10-15 minutes away) which is obviously a big plus. I live near the Davis Monthan Air force base and can see the various planes lined up. So that's neat. Also, we never hear planes or jets since they don't fly out this way. We might have a petty thief in the neighborhood but they only search for unlocked car doors I believe, so the simple solution is to remember to lock your door. Common sense anyways. I live far enough from busy streets near shopping outlets but close enough to get to them in about a 5 minute drive. I wouldn't mind staying here. Compared to the rest of the country, well there obviously better choices. Like California would be nice but my Tucson home is comfortable and calm so I enjoy it. The hot weather isn't for everyone though!

Niche User: I would definitely live here again. Tucson is a multicultural place where you can meet people from all around the world. The food is great and since the city is close to the border, you have an option of buying fruits and other food imported from Mexico, which are really cheap. You can always enjoy fresh air without worrying too much about getting sick.

The only con is the weather, which many people do not appreciate. The weather is either really hot or really cold. It's just like the desert weathers! And that is how it's supposed to be actually!

Current Resident: Being a slightly impoverished neighborhood, I've seen it change and go through its share of events. It's affordable and habitable but has seen some crime and has some rowdy characters. Despite that, it has easily become my home and I'm comfortable enough to continue living here.

Niche User: I just recently moved to this area after living in various places throughout Tucson and I really like it! I'm planning on extending my lease for an extra year while I finish my undergrad degree. I think it's really cute that there's a neighborhood newsletter and they do events for the residents like the upcoming Halloween party. It's also in a really great location with a nearby grocery store, close proximity to El Con, and to the university.

Former Resident: The last place I lived in Tucson. The apartment complex in particular I lived at was gated and nicer than the last one I lived in Keeling. Can't say I preferred this neighborhood though as it was farther from the closest Fry's and any stores.

Current Resident: Quiet area, friendly people, quaint shops, low crime.

People are super friendly and nice around this area. I've lived in the Casas Adobes area for almost 11 years and it has never steered me wrong. There seems to be a very low crime rate. We've never been a victim of any crimes in this area, at least nothing except a fender bender. There are a few little shopping areas that definitely speak to a more Euro tone but they are pretty and have higher end shopping.

Current Resident: I really enjoy living in Marana. My family and I feel safe and secure in our home. The town keeps the streets clean and managed regularly. It is a little more pricey compared to other options in the Tucson area, but you get what you pay for. There is a variety of community centers and parks for everyone to enjoy. This includes pools, recreation areas, skate parks and sight seeing. There is no other town i would choose to live in other than Marana. It is worth the commute to work everyday. My neighbors are really friendly and helpful. They have been welcoming since the first day i moved in. I highly recommend living in Marana and would advise anyone who has the chance to take it.

Niche User: Tucson Arizona is not too big, not too small. Perfect weather, every once in a while you get rain. Never too hot, never snows. We never have dangerous weather, like hurricanes, earth quakes, tornadoes, or tsunamis. Gorgeous skies, The most beautiful sunsets ever, and our pretty purple mountains. Friendly people, and so much entertainment, hundreds of restaurants, theaters, sports centers, bars, lounges, museums, parks, shopping centers, nature paths, fitness centers, schools, and hundreds of different doctors, the list goes on. I do see great potential in the future, for my town. I also think that Tucson is a great place to raise a family, and I plan on living here my whole life, as I raise my own children and grow old here.

Current Resident: I love Tucson. Much less sterile than the Phoenix valley! People are laid back and friendly here, and the environment is more rugged and natural. You feel like you're truly living out in the desert. You don't have to drive as far to visit the cool, pine-forested mountains because you have Mount Lemmon right in your own back yard! Campus Farm is a relatively quiet neighborhood, surrounded on multiple sides by farmland consisting of crops, greenhouses, horses, and sheep, right on the edge of the city; which I believe lends to its peaceful, quiet, and serene character; not to mention the plethora of doves cooing every morning during sunrise. The neighborhood has an older, more relaxed rural feel...makes you feel nostalgic...like it's the 1960s and Linda Ronstadt is still in her prime.

Former Resident: I lived here about two years at an apartment with very affordable rent and enjoyed being centrally located in close enough proximity to downtown. Was never a victim of a crime. Roads are just as bad here as anywhere in Tucson.
