#4 Most Diverse Places to Live in Onslow County
Current Resident: Jacksonville, NC is a nice city to live in. Everything like grocery stores and restaurants is close to home. The beach is 45 minutes away. Neighborhoods are generally safe and diverse. I have a lot of pride to live in a military town and am glad to serve my community by working with a veterans center in town to help military families get counseling, benefits, medical care, and other resources. One thing my city could improve is providing more sidewalks throughout the city and outskirts. Adding more parks and biking trails for the growing families in our communities would also encourage more nature time and exercise among its citizens, improving both their mental and physical health. I think having more cultural engagement like adding art and science museums, an opera or performing arts theater, creative hubs for independent artists to meet and work on projects together or separate (perhaps near our community college) would all help the community grow and work together.
