Current Resident: Southern Pines is an adoring small town. I enjoy downtown Southern Pines the most, it is filled with family businesses, and mom and pop shops and the train station in the center of it all. The community comes together for parades or first Friday events. Naturally, the spring is when the parks are crowded with little ones, and cyclists share the roads.

The town of West End is pretty small and does not have much to do or many places to shop, but the towns of Southern Pines and Pinehurst are only a short drive away.

Works Here: Pinehurst is a very friendly, family oriented community that offers a golf resort, plenty of different restaurants and kid friendly activities. There are a lot of different golf courses in the area and it is actually a bucket list destination to play golf. This is also near a military base so there are a lot of military families that live here. There are lots of kids activities such as races, festivals and a huge splash pad they can enjoy in the warmer months. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, I absolutely love living here! The weather is pretty good year round and it's affordable.

Current Resident: Cameron is a small town that does not require a stop light and basically everyone knows everyone. The town has a gas station, a elementary school and a small police station. When riding through or taking a walk through the shops, you can't help but feel as though you are taken back in time. It truly is a glorious experience and there is so much to see!

There is a Piggly Wiggly grocery store and Family Dollar in town as well as an auto part store. There is an elementary school and middle school five minutes from each other. Niche User: In Cameron, we have never had any problems with crime. It's a safe area. The police are very friendly and know many of our names. Everyone is nice to each other and if there ever is a problem it is caused by a person who just wanted to cause problems, and they usually aren't from the area. My home is very safe.

Niche User: In my neighborhood the cops drive through three times a day. Do not let this scare you, we never have breakins or other safety concerns thanks to the large police presence. Our schools even have their own police force. This makes sure that there are individuals at every school ready to protect the students. The neighboring town, Pinehurst, was even voted at the safest place to live North Carolina.
