Current Resident: Cedar Hills is a great little town to live in. It's a community that is safe and welcoming. While the city consists of tight knit groups, it's still very welcoming to newcomers and visitors. The education centers are top of the line, the people are friendly, and it's close enough to other cities and towns to accommodate amenities that a more rural community might lack, but isn't overcrowded like a city. The only thing that could really improve is the amount of recreational activities that are provided. While there are many parks, there isn't much to say about rec centers, movie theaters, and other recreational businesses. However, they are still available in the neighboring towns. Current Resident: I like Bountiful a lot! I love to see the mountains every morning and the people in the community where I live are all friendly. I'm fond of Bountiful Main Street and all the little quaint shops that are there, especially the new ice cream parlor, Blacksmith Icecream! I have everything I need nearby too, like grocery stores, libraries, gas stations, schools, plenty of places to eat and hang out, and even a bowling alley! My favorite places to go are Game Haven and Fizz, which both are within a mile or two from my house. Traffic can be pretty tough around here though as there are a lot of people who live here and the lights can take a bit of time, but that's not something I generally have issues with. Current Resident: Out of all the cities I have lived in, Farmington truly is the best. Living right near the beautiful mountain provides a wonderful opportunity to go hiking, biking, and running. Nearby Resident: Fruit Heights is a lovely neighborhood to live in. I have never felt unsafe in any aspect while living there. One of my favorite things about living in Fruit Heights was how close I was with all of my neighbors. From the moment I moved in I was instantly welcomed with open arms. It is a quieter city, but it is only 25 minutes away from Salt Lake City which has a variety of shopping, dining, and entertainment. One thing that Fruit Heights definitely lacks is diversity. Current Resident: My husband and I moved to the area 6 years ago in our late 20's and have loved it. Most of our neighbors are friendly, a good mix of young and older folks but we notice our older neighbors are more approachable. We were surprised to learn that about half of our neighbors we know are LDS, but have never felt bothered with the LDS culture. The access to the mountains is amazing and the best in the valley and maybe even the country. Plenty of hiking and skiing within minutes but we do plan accordingly because of increased traffic in the canyons at certain times (weekends & powder days). There's also a nice variety of local and chain restaurants but we wish for more walkability to a centralized area with local spots. CH is a typical suburb, but we come from Midwest suburbs and it far beats that because of outdoor access. It's also not unique to CH but the poor air quality in the valley is frustrating to deal with every winter and summer - something to consider if moving from out of state.... Read 105 reviews

Current Resident: I truly love the history if Alpine. It might seem like a little town amongst mountain peaks, but there is something breathtaking about this place. Based on resources we know that Alpine was first settled in the year of 1850. The first settlers of this area established a cattle ranch and that was the beginning of a long and lovely story of Alpien, Utah. I would not change this place for a world. Current Resident: The location here in Utah experiences some weather but is overall tolerable. The diversity is very lacking unless you move downtown, but if that doesn't matter than that's fine. Current Resident: I love it here. The community has a tight bond like I've never seen before. everyone here is so kind and will always be willing to help someone out. Lots of LDS people here too. This town used to be an orchard town before most of them got pushed over. My family is the last standing family that owns an orchard from the pioneers. The only bummer about this place is the roads and maybe the outdoor pool. The roads here are very bumpy and need to be redone, and the pool is old and needs to be redone. Current Resident: The people in Layton are really what makes it so great. Neighbors are willing to help one another out and to serve one another. It might sound kind of dumb but when I couldn't find my cat I found so much support in the community and had many people tell us they would be on the look out for him. Current Resident: Provo is a beautiful area, it's a smaller college town. The people are very friendly, there are lots of stores/restaurants. The university, Brigham Young University, has a beautiful campus and great academics. For a college student, it's a great place to be! The public school system is not highly rated, wish it could be better. Summers are very hot, winters are pretty cold. There are lots of parks everywhere, and the Provo River Trail is a great option for long bike rides, roller blading, etc. There are lots of places to hike, and Provo features some good peaks as well, including Mount Timpanogos. Being in Utah, a lot of people here are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It's a welcoming community. Current Resident: Fun activities here, great people. The nearest libraries are in Orem and PG. There are so many great restaurants nearby that are like none you will find anywhere else. Los Hermanos and Purple Turtle are only in the area. Evermore is another great nearby experience. The community is really great, and we have great shopping plazas. Current Resident: There has been a lot of work to improve the overall experience of Midvale by bringing in new eateries, businesses and activities like Top Golf. However, this is a low income area and the neighborhoods can seem unsafe and unclean. Police are constantly patrolling the neighborhoods to provide their presence and promote safety throughout the day. Midvale is slowly becoming a great spot to live close to Salt Lake City.
