Parent: My daughter has been attending BISW since nursery due to our well regarded public school remaining close during the pandemic. We’re in Primary now and we simply love the school and have no plans to leave despite having a local and good public option. Staff at BISW are competent, kind, responsive and the school is well organized. Clear and constant communication from teachers and administrators is the norm. The curricula is strong and very focused on child literacy. My child is thriving. As others have mentioned, the facilities are not grand, but given the small classes and school size they certainly make good use of the space. Classrooms are well appointed. A new gym being built. Senior: My name is Janiyah Woody and I've been attending prince Goerges's county school for most of my life. I first attended Prince Georges's county public schools when I was in the 4th grade. I went to Hill Crest Heights Elementary school. My experience there for the most part was pretty good. The teacher there was very good at their job. After that, I moved away and when to Charles County for my 5th-grade year, and later returned to prince George's county for middle school. The middle school I went to was Benjamin Stoddert. The teacher and the staff were always good at helping the students My teachers in middle school also made sure that we were prepared and ready for High school. I'm not saying that my experience with Prince Goerges County Public school was perfect but I've learned a lot. Many things have happened while attending Prince Georges's county public schools good and bad, but all schools and school districts have their problems.
