Current Resident: Fenton is an awesome town! The downtown is beautiful and everything is close, it takes ~10 minutes to get from each side of town. There’s enough things to do where it doesn’t get boring, but not too many things to do where you’re overwhelmed with options. It’s extremely safe and has a lot of local shops/ restaurants. The schools are okay, but good teachers make them great. There are tons of things to do in the summer, including 5+ lakes and state parks close nearby. Current Resident: Ortonville Michigan is a very beautiful serene town in between Flint and Pontiac. During peak traffic hours there is still smooth flow from the way that the roads are designed. Ortonville's vibe is calm and relaxed with beautiful scenery such as lush forests and lakes that our many public parks have. The buildings all have a cozy and cute look. The residents of ortonville are some of the nicest people I've ever met. They are always waving to you and welcoming you into there businesses and out in public. I would highly recommend visiting ortonville or residing there as Brandon township takes great care of and proves that they love their City. The local law enforcement patrols regularly and the crime rate is very little to nonexistent. The thing I love most about living in ortonville is that it's far enough away from the city to have peace and quiet. Current Resident: Goodrich is a town where its people aren't just numbers. Everyone knows each other and looks out for each other. Its the type of town with no fights and just friendships. I feel as if im heard and looked out for by its people. Throughout my years in this wonderful town I have had the opportunity to many new traditions, such as; Martian bowl Friday, coffee house, and Good Times in Goodrich. This town does a great job of helping its people find themselves. There's no discrimination. Instead it spends its time bringing light to subjects that are normally judged such as the high school care club, lgbtq club, and feminist club. With all of these kids feel more welcomed and want to go to school because there they have friends. Even though its a small town and has a graduating class of 200 students, it still has unique resturants around town. Like its local ice cream shop Lippys, Papa Johns Pizza, and The 411. Former Resident: I grew up in Davison, it is a sweet town that is pretty quite and offers school of choice, the area is pretty small and not more and an hour to great malls, on your way up north. Davison is very family friendly and a great place full of fresh air and lots of trails and green trees. I loved growing up in Davison as there we a lot of kids my age and many times lots to do trails, the lake, downtown, or the drive in theater. My parents still live there and have had good luck with the real-estate in Davison as well and have found that their house bought in 1999 has increase in value significantly. It was always very safe there despite being very close to flint. There are many larger towns surrounding Davison with malls, lakes, and other attractions. It is very up and coming and has attractions of its own including lake callas and Michigan adventure very near by.
